Solomon Robinson was stabbed to death in October 2019 in Scarborough
The latest Scarborough news and updates straight to your inbox
These are the final, drug-fuelled hours caught on Snapchat leading up to the fatal stabbing of 26-year-old Solomon Robinson in Scarborough .
His five killers stabbed Mr Robinson in a joint attack on St Nicholas Street at around 2am on October 20 in 2019.
Never-before-seen footage, released by North Yorkshire Police tonight, shows Snapchat videos of Stefan Selvage 19, Dawid Goral, 21, Callon Brass, 22, Kieran Watkinson, 19, and Stevie Low, 23, just hours before the stabbing.
The group can be seen at a party together with drugs, knives and a large amount of cash.
CCTV footage then shows the group walking through the town together before arriving where Mr Robinson was later attacked.

Further shots show what appears to be several dark figures fighting in the darkness in front of the town hall, with at least three of the figures brandishing a knife.
Mr Robinson can be seen staggering away before collapsing on the floor. The gang fled the scene after the cowardly attack.
Police were called and arrived within two minutes. Officers found Mr Robinson lying on the floor bleeding heavily.
He was rushed to hospital by ambulance with an 11-inch-deep single stab wound to his lower back.
He was given emergency surgery but sadly died at about 5am after suffering “catastrophic” bleeding.
Selvage, Goral, Brass, Watkinson and Low were subsequently charged with and convicted of murder. They must serve a minimum of almost 100 years in total before they can be considered for release.
Selvage, of Colescliffe Road, admitted murder the day before the trial and was today, February 19 jailed for life.
He will have to serve a minimum of 15 years before he can be considered for release.
The other four denied murder, but, following a four-week trial at Leeds Crown Court , they were found guilty of murder on Friday, February 5 and also handed life sentences today.
A victim impact statement by Mr Robinson’s mother was read to the court at the sentencing hearing detailing the pain and suffering the family had endured since his death.
She said: “Solomon’s death has destroyed my family, it has simply crushed our souls and I doubt the family can ever be the same again.“
She described how listening to the final moments of Solomon’s life with her husband at the trial had been unbearable at times and that no words can explain the pain and torture that they are going through.
The family statement ended with some words from one of Solomon’s little sisters who described Solomon as having a “heart of gold who would help others before himself”.
She said: “There are no words to describe the pain, which we all feel, and that justice being served will hopefully give us some sort of light to help heal us.”
• Selvage, of Colescliffe Road, was sentenced to life imprisonment and must serve a minimum of 15 years before he is considered for release.
• Watkinson, of Endcliff Crescent was sentenced to life imprisonment and must serve a minimum of 18 years before he is considered for release.
• Brass, of Eastborough, was sentenced to life imprisonment and must serve a minimum of 21 years before he is considered for release.
• Goral, of Durham Street, was sentenced to life imprisonment and must serve a minimum of 21 years before he is considered for release.
• Low, of Longwestgate, was sentenced to life imprisonment and must serve a minimum of 23 years before he is considered for release. He was also sentenced to three years and six months for being concerned in supply of a controlled drug of Class A which is to be served concurrently.
Detective Superintendent Fran Naughton, Senior Investigating Officer of the investigation, said: “This was an appalling act of premeditated violence and our thoughts remain with Mr Robinson’s family as they attempt to come to terms with their devastating loss.
"I would like to praise them for behaving with nothing but dignity, despite the court proceedings being very distressing at times.
“After carrying out the brutal attack, the group fled the scene. Their actions were cowardly and cold, and they have proven themselves to be dangerous individuals who have rightly been taken off our streets for a significant amount of time."
She added: “I’d like to thank the Scarborough Borough Council CCTV operators who alerted us to people carrying knives in the area and helped us to collect significant evidence.
"Thank you also to the many members of public and witnesses who provided Mr Robinson with first aid immediately after the attack or provided information and evidence as part of the investigation.”

Snapchat’s creators have said over and over that they’ve made Snapchats difficult to recapture, since they want to promote an aura of transience and impermanence with their app. And despite mounting evidence that there are ways to grab and recover these seemingly fleeting images , people continue to use Snapchat to send things they don’t want other people to see. Since the service functions as a private photo messaging platform, plenty of nude pictures get exchanged, even as it becomes more obvious that there are ways to surreptitiously save these photos. After all, if you like someone enough to send them a sexy picture, you’d hope that they wouldn’t go out of their way to save it against your wishes.
Unfortunately, there’s a new service around that encourages Snapchat users to exploit their friends and lovers and make those private pictures public.
Snapchat’s credibility is taking yet another thanks to a new website called Snapchat Leaked (very NSFW, and very slow right now – the site is getting a heavy amount of traffic, as you might imagine; Update: the site appears to be broken right now, but has been working on and off today) that showcases recovered or saved Snapchat photos. Anyone can submit a saved Snap to the site, and there are different categories like “Women,” “Men,” “Sexy,” and “Stupid,” among others. Suffice it to say you’ll see your fair share of genitalia and other private parts, and if you click on a link below the images censored with little Snapchat ghosts, you can see the unedited pictures.
The site’s creators also made a Twitter account, which gained over 9,000 followers in a single day.

And even though Facebook pulled the original Snapchat Leaked page, a new one has surfaced and hasn’t been taken down yet. It already has over 10,000 fans – the original Facebook page had over half a million fans. The creators of the Facebook page note “Remember this is just for fun!” – a strange idea, since it’s obviously not so much for fun as it is for exploiting people who don’t realize their Snapchat friends aren’t in the least bit loyal and are willing to trade personal photos for a moment of spotlight on the Snapchat Leaked site.
But this might be worse news for Snapchat than for the victimized users. The photo-sharing service will likely have to come up with stricter measures to prevent sneaky screen captures and data recovery. And since this follows on the heels of a privacy group filing a complaint with the FTC regarding the app’s lax security, it’s high time the developers address the myriad privacy problems head on.
So who is behind Snapchat Leaked? We reached out to the creators but haven’t heard back yet. However, one Facebook us er was so enthusiastic about promoting the service that other users suspected it was him – and he didn’t exactly deny it.
There’s little Snapchat can do other than try and police users who are repurposing and reposting their friends’ secret photos, but these sorts of exploits are only going to make people increasingly cautious about using the app. There’s always been some risk attached, but it seems to become higher every day.
