If you notice that your feet smell bad when you take off your shoes, you’re not alone. Having stinky feet is a very common problem. Learn more about what causes feet to smell bad and how you can help to prevent it.
The main cause of smelly feet is trapped sweat . Your feet create a lot of sweat each day since they have thousands of sweat glands. When the sweat becomes trapped in your shoes or socks, it can create a bad odor. This is known as bromodosis, or smelly feet. ‌
Bacteria are also responsible for smelly feet. There are many kinds of bacteria on the bottom of your feet. These bacteria live off the sweat that your feet are constantly producing. When they feed on the sweat, the bacteria create an acid that causes foot odor.
Besides bacteria, fungus may also cause you to have smelly feet. Fungus grows and thrives in warm, moist areas. When your feet sweat inside your shoes and socks, this creates an environment where fungus can grow. These bad-smelling fungi are commonly known as athlete’s foot .
Some other factors that could cause stinky feet include:
Bromodosis doesn’t just occur in hot weather. Your feet sweat every day, no matter what the temperature is. While anyone can get stinky feet, it’s estimated that 10% to 15% of all people have feet that are smellier than average. These people host a certain bacteria on their feet called Kyetococcus sedentarius that create sulfuric compounds. These compounds can cause sweat to smell like rotten eggs. ‌
Some people are more susceptible to sweaty feet. For example, women and teens may get sweatier due to hormonal changes in their bodies. People with hyperhidrosis may also have sweatier feet since this condition causes excess sweating. In turn, the extra sweat can cause your feet to smell bad.
You may also notice that your feet get sweatier and smellier if you:
Smelly feet are usually easy to treat at home. Here are a few things that you can try to reduce foot sweat and odor.
Soak your feet. If your foot odor is noticeable, you can try soaking your feet to give them a deep cleaning. To do so, mix half a cup of Epsom salt in warm water. If you don’t have Epsom salt, you can mix two parts of warm water with one part white or apple cider vinegar. ‌
Let your feet soak for up to 20 minutes once a week. Epsom salt helps to remove moisture from your skin, so bacteria are less likely to hang around. Vinegar also helps to remove bacteria from your feet. You shouldn’t soak your feet if you have any open wounds or sores.
Keep your feet dry. Bacteria live in moist areas, so keeping your feet dry will help to cut back on foot odor. You can apply talcum powder to your feet to soak up any wetness or sweat. If your feet are very sweaty, you can even try using antiperspirant on the bottom of your feet.
While at home, allow your feet to get some fresh air by removing shoes and socks. Try to wear sandals when you can to reduce sweat. If you need to wear close-toed shoes, make sure that you wear shoes that fit properly. If your socks typically get sweaty during the day, carry an extra pair or two with you so that you can change them when your feet start to smell.
Practice good hygiene. If you have stinky feet, you should wash your feet every day. You can wash them as you shower or you can scrub them in a tub with warm water. Dry your feet thoroughly, including between the toes.
You should also keep your toenails clean and trimmed, and file off any dead skin on your feet. This can also help to reduce places where bacteria like to live on your feet.
Take care of your footwear. You should avoid wearing the same shoes two days in a row to let them air out. In addition, you can wash the insoles of your shoes to help them smell better.
Another way to help reduce stinky feet is by using a disinfectant spray on your shoes and letting them air dry. This will kill off any bacteria living in your shoes.

I love a woman's smelly feet...way too much lol. I'm always fantasizing about a woman kicking off her shoes and her feet smelling overpoweringly strong when I bury my nose in them :D sadly though, every girl whose feet I've had the pleasure of smelling (ex girlfriends and such) didn't have a particularly strong foot scent. So all you lucky guys out there, can you tell us about the smelliest smelly feet experience you've had?
I really didn't realize how perfect the combination was at the time but my now-wife (then girlfriend) was driving a car with a bad air conditioning compressor in the summertime (that she didn't want to pay to fix), had these amazing leather shoes that smelled amazing (she has since had to throw them away), and wore pantyhose to work everyday with those shoes on for hours. Even after a day of this combination, her feet smelled amazing in those pantyhose, but one time she wanted something from me and said she would wear the same pantyhose a whole month for me if I got it for her.

After coming in from work, she could sit next to me and I could smell the sweat coming off of her skin and hair. We now have a house rule of no shoes on in the house but she used to keep her shoes on until we got into bed (I really miss those days) so the sweating would continue - I would be the ones to take the shoes off and the scent would go immediately on my nose.

I really can't record the memory of the smell of feet - only little hints of it. At the time we lived in a house with an apartment on the bottom floor and a house on the top floor but I remember every day for that entire month reaching what I thought was the highest high I could get sniffing those feet but every day it got better. It was summertime and her feet smelled immensely. I remember her spreading the nylon toes wide and I would just lose my mind trying to figure out if I was sniffing today's sweat embedded in the nylon or if that was sweat embedded two weeks ago. Or maybe I was sniffing simultaneously 14 different days of sweaty nylon - I would put my nose over every inch and inhale hard. I do remember I made some out-of-this-world noises the orgasms were so powerful - I got off that month more than I ever have before - the orgasms were so powerful I would fall asleep a few minutes later.

I really wish I had access to those smells - she's never done anything like that since. We didn't make it a whole entire month as the smell got so strong you could smell it when she entered the room (they were open toe leather shoes). The car has since been replaced and she uses air now in the summertime, she doesn't work in an office anymore (runs a home office) so she isn't always in hose and definitely not in shoes all day like before (bummer), those wonderful shoes have had to be thrown away (I could just put them on my face and smell that amazing orgasmic scent) and none have ever matched them in stink, and although she doesn't wash her pantyhose (just puts them back in the drawer), she has never done anything like that ever again. It was so hot.

One time we were on a trip for my birthday and she wore pantyhose with tennis shoes and we didn't get to the hotel until later that evening. She passed out from drinking and I smelled her nylon feet for hours (masturbating continuously) - they smelled so amazing - I woke her up finally at 5am and we had hours of sex I was so revved up. I can't prove it - it was about six weeks later, but I think she might have put those multiple-weeks-of-wear hose back on for the trip and a day in tennis shoes brought all the scents back. It was great to sniff them on her feet for hours while she slept and then actively while she was awake and we enjoyed each other repeatedly.

I'm very thankful for this experience - will never forget it. Just wish I could replay the smelling sessions with the actual scents in my head.
Ah, the good old days! Betcha she might do that again if you ask REALLY nicely!
That sounds incredible, spiral.

When my wife and I were dating, she worked as a bank teller and often wore the same pair of black tights for two days in a row... without washing her feet. By the end of day one, her feet smelled very strong when she took off her flats at the end of the day. After two days, they positively stunk (in the best way possible). I always looked forward to removing her shoes and giving her long foot rubs, which of course she loved too.

But even they weren't the stinkiest female feet I ever encountered. There was a cute female coworker who wore the same sneakers every day. She usually wore tan knee-highs as well. After I'd been working with her for about a year (and she was still wearing those same sneakers), one day she complained her feet were sore.., and took them off. My God, the smell that came up from her feet/sneakers was otherworldly. She almost immediately put them back on, as she profusely apologized for the stench of her feet. Of course, I told her it didn't bother me... while she was wincing and coughing from the overpowering smell of her own feet.
Feet dreams are made of stink...who are we to disagree?
My ex wife had the some of the smelliest yet prettiest feet I’ve ever had the privilege on sniffing.Early in our relationship we lived in central Florida and she had to wear black socks and black shoes for her job add to this the Florida weather and her naturally smelly feet and I was in heaven. She had been teased by her family for years about her smelly feet her size 8.5 reeked!she discovered my appreciation for this delicacy and quickly began to enjoy me sniffing g away at her damp foul after work soles for the remainder of our marriage damn near daily I posted pics here In the den!

I'm quite lucky that there is a lady I see who allows me to regularly sniff her feet. I'm not a huge fan of bare feet, I only really like sniffing feet in stockings or tights, prefer tan/skin over black. When I do sniff her feet its always in the evening after work. She works as a hairdresser so shes on her feet all day and her feet smell differently depending on what shoes she has worn. When she wears her well worn lether black ankle boots with tan/skin coloured tights all day the smell is incredible
For my 18th birthday my ex-girlfriend or her friend nylon type sucks inside her leather loafers and she was a receptionist and she tied me down on Friday after wearing them Monday through Friday taped my mouth shut and spread eagle tied me to the bed at the hotel and knew it was too much for me to handle that she kept smiling and telling me sucks the baby cuz I asked for it
Second smelliest fear of socks I bought off of a stripper after her long shift in Providence
