I’ve just removed all the removable padding from all my bras. I don’t care, it’s exhausting to always have to fix them after washing them and there’s nothing I need to cover up or enhance about natural body!
Tomorrow I am removing my breast implants. I am nervous about surgery of course but am looking forward to quite literally having this weight off of me. Lurking this sub the past few months has really made me look forward to having small boobs again and feel at peace with my decision. I’m nervous about how I’ll look but my surgeon is wonderful so I know he’ll do a good job.
I’d love to hear from any others on here who’ve been through this procedure! ❤️

My mom’s side of the family runs very busty (including grandma, my mom, my sister, and myself). After years of hating my body and dealing with shoulder/neck/back pain I am finally scheduled for a breast reduction the end of Sept! I’m so excited! I love how small boobs look (in clothes and without clothing) and I’m just so happy to be able to live my life freely without these things flopping on my chest. I also have a small frame and I’m short and pretty thin so having a small chest to match the rest of me makes sense .
I told my surgeon I wanted to go as small as possible. I wear a 28G and I’m hoping to go down to a 28D/DD (same size/volume as 32-34B for those of you who don’t use ABTF’s sizing) but I told him I’d rather be too small than too big. Everyone was super supportive when I initially announced the reduction, but I made the mistake of telling them what size I was hoping to end up and now they won’t stop harassing me about it! They keep repeating things like “you’re going to miss your womanly figure” and that men won’t find me attractive. My mom and grandmother keep telling me I’m making a huge mistake, I’ll regret it, but this isn’t a spur of the moment decision—aside from maybe when I first started puberty and wanted bigger boobs, I’ve always preferred small boobs. I’m also pan and prefer to date smaller chested women. My sister is at least semi-supportive but she still doesn’t understand why I want to be that small instead of a C or D cup.
Why are we as a society so obsessed with big boobs that it’s seen as sacrilege to not want them? I’ve also gotten similar comments from my friends - approving of the reduction but disapproving of how much. It’s funny, because another friend of ours got a boob job the summer after college and she went from a A to a DDD but nobody said a world about that, but I want to do the reverse and suddenly people are asking about my mental health.
