No not just the usual present day fabrics. We're not talking polyester here. Have you ever experienced rayon satin as seen in memorable images of the stars of the silver screen (from the 1930's and 40's)? This is also the stuff all the Pennant Girls wear. It has a soft, sensual and buttery hand and when cut on the bias--as it often was in vintage lingerie--it drapes beautifully. Originally referred to as "artificial silk", rayon satin is noticeably cool to the touch, whereas silk forms a warm fabric.

This was taken at the Innsmouth Sim that has insanely good lighting. I did not edit this photo, not even crop it. The Smoke Show from Cole is doing so much as well as the lighting here. I also use the Alchemy Viewer for those who want to know.

This Vito IIa was built by Voigtländer in Germany in 1955. It is a folding camera for 35mm film and can easily be slipped into a pocket. Its ergonomics and design are still praised today; it is built to a high standard and has an excellent lens, the coated Color-Skopar 50mm / 3.5 f. Even today, you can still take beautiful photos with it; it works excellently. I still have the original leather case and some accessories.
This is a really simply dollhouse that I bought for $5 at an auction- it is getting a make-over to be home to the tiny teddy bears in New Orleans at our cottage, Lagniappe! I think it will be as quirky as any house I have ever lived in! :)
The dollhouse floor is comprised of 735 tiny glass tiles (approx. 1/4 inch each) that I thought would be fun to use for the 3rd floor. I think it's very playful, though it was a crazy lot of work! No, I don't really know what possessed me! I remembered I had these little mosaic tiles from a project years ago, and I did actually know where they were! LOL!
Each floor will have a different flooring and wall coverings; I have cut floor and wall panels that slip over the current walls or floors so they can be changed in any room of the dollhouse. The loft triangular wall is covered here in a vintage fabric that a lady at a sale gave me. :)
