I found this book to be incredibly helpful. A lot of it is common sense, but it is almost as if I did not realize it until I read it in this book. I have not been able to put this book down since I got it. I've even taken notes, she did an amazing job with this book. It is help me in so many ways and I hope that others will give it a chance to inspire them. I did read through a lot of the one-star reviews and most of the things that these reviews are saying are not true if they really read the book. In no way is any of the advice she gives in this bug eating disordered. Also in no way does she tell you to drink and not eat, this was another review I read. It was almost as if people just read titles of the chapters and not the actual book, then left a review. Give the book a chance, it could change your life.












Everything in this book is common sense. I was in a dark place when I made this purchase.












I am not a reality TV fan at all especially not the housewives of anywhere USA but I somehow ended up with this book at a time when I was about 40 lbs over weight. I will give this book 35% of the credit for helping me lose 50 lbs. It's not really a diet book, if your looking for something that is very do this, do that, eat this and only this, this book won't be for you. It was more just a guide and tips and suggestions, hacks maybe that made a lot of sense. I didn't use everything that she says in it but that kind of exactly what she tells you to do. Some days I used more of the tips and suggestions then I did on other days, I tailored the tips and suggestions to work for me and how I eat and my life style. I highly recommend if you are looking to change the way you look at and eat food to at least flip through this book. I didn't feel overwhelmed or pressured or defeated by this book. It was actually very freeing. I think there is something for just about anyone struggling with their food relationships in this book. Best part about it is it really helped and I never once felt bad about not sticking to every word that I read in it. No guilt












I'm not big on diet books. Or self help books. Or spiritual books. Or new age run on sentence books. This isn't really any of those things. If you watch the show and are amused by the character she portrays, then you'll likely enjoy this book. If you have yo-yoed up and down for the longest- this is a great way to shake up your perception of yourself and how you eat. Some of this may be obvious for some people- but it wasn't to me. Don't diet. Eat everything you want. Just go apeshit on veggies and make your favorite junk food your snack. I'm 5'7, a size 10, 28in waist, 32DD, and 165lbs. I can still eat a pizza, wings, and a burger and fries in one sitting. Easily. After reading this, I still have my pizza, burger, fries and some wings on the weekends while I game. But I'll have 1 slice, 1/2 a burger, a couple fries, and a couple wings- spread out over the entire weekend with plenty of egg white omelets, huge salads, tofu, fish, and roasted veggies in between (and lots of whiskey lol). Each and every one of us is naturally thin. Not skinny. Yep. Naturally healthy. Just let your body do what it's supposed to by eating balanced, giving it the proper healthy fuel, and then eating whatever you want, to snack on as you please. It's awesome.












I am a mother of 4 and after reading this book found it so helpful. I didn't read anywhere about how much calories to eat per day. This book retrains you of how to eat, it is a lot going by the European way of eating...I'm an American living in France and I see where she got her tips as many people here eat normal food but stay slim. This book retrains you to eat and enjoy your food, don't feel deprived, but concentrate on what you are doing, savor the flavors, eat what you crave but stop yourself to check if you are full or eating just to eat or eating because you are hungry and gives you plenty of examples to help you understand. She says diets don't work so this is not a book about dieting like the Atkins or South Beach diets, but it's a book to help retrain you on how to eat and it's really a great book. I began immediately practicing what I read and I'm losing weight! And teaching my children how to eat proper. Warning: As her book teaches you to eat and really, to eat good food, making dull boring food taste fantastic you will start to understand why eating processed foods will eventually become a food of the past for you. I finally practiced the technique eating a frozen fried fish I was craving and had no enjoyment eating it like I used to, because before like she mentions, I used to just gobble it down without even knowing I ate it before I realized I finished it....finally I ate it slow, I savored the flavors, only to realize it's just plain cardboard garbage! :D When you eat she encourages you to eat fantastic, eat deliciously and it's true! You'll never feel deprived or on a diet when you eat like this but be aware, balance out your meal, make your meal something important you pay attention to. This book gives plenty of advice on all of this.

Life changing!












I’ve read some reviews on here that said it was full of ‘what you already know’ - very true! Everyone knows eating less and eating healthier will make you lose weight! But the way she describes it, the way she tells you how to eat your fave HIGH-CALORIE things. Bethenny actually writes about food in a way I’ve never thought of it before. I’ve always been an all or nothing kinda girl. I always ate whatever I wanted or I was very restrictive (and MISERABLE) on a diet! A restrictive diet did work for me, but I missed all my fave things and it never lasted cause the heart (stomach) wants what it wants!!! With this book I have been able to lose 2 stone so far after being worried about my weight for 6 years!!! I don’t miss any foods that are my faves because I eat them all! Pizza, chocolate, McDonald’s - the lot!!! Bethenny just taught me how and it’s truly changed my life. This book is my bible & it’s by my bedside. I’ve had a lot of years of a dodgy relationship with food (love/hate) and this book is helping to fix it! Thank you Bethenny, thank you!

Not life changing for me but some eye opening points












Interesting read, most of it is common sense eg. You don’t have to clear you plate at every meal, and if you splurge on one meal hold back with the next. Some good principles to live by with regards to food and some thoughts to take away. Wish I’d read before I knew Bethenny as a tv personality as I imagining her shouting her points at me as I read it ala real housewives!

Life style change












This is the best diet book I had ever read, and I have read them all....this is not really a book about diets but an honest description of how to keep your weight down, the honest reality no one ever mention, is a new mentality and way of life and a way of live Free from diets, I lost lots of weight thanks fo this book and I am eating everything but....I am in control of my food, honestly I didn’t have idea that to be thin is all in the mind, and I basically bought the book out of curiosity because I thought that if Bethany know something is how to be skinny!

The best healthy lifestyle book in the world












Bethenny doesn't talk diets, regimes or sacrifies. This isn't a diet book - this is a book that leads you to looking at food at a with a more promising, feasible and healthier mindset. I love Bethenny's approach to having it all, but not at once. I firmly believe that anyone who has struggled with control over food should read this. I will be revisiting this book for the rest of my life! Thank you B

Sensible advice












I have really enjoyed reading this book and following its tips. I am already slim but the advice in the book is sensible and reasonable and I feel healthier and more in control of what I am eating.
