I am wondering where would be the best place to live considering i know very little about the region. Or perhaps Ostersund. Great University, 90km to Are and some ok, slopes and park right in the city! Just an hour with car or cheap train to Are. Lillehammer is a 2,5hr drive to Oslo capital city. The major ski resorts in Lillehammers region is: Hafjell 20min , Kvitfjell 50 min , Sjusjoen min , Skeikampen 50 min , and GAla 1,5hr The great thing about these 5 resorts is that they share the same season pass. So if you don't want to ski Hafjell one day you can just take the bus to Skeikampen. Which brings me to the next item on my ad:P During the winter they offer something called 'vinterbussen' Winter bus which have departures to all resorts from Lillehammer. Hafjell is the closest and the biggest resort which also has been named the best bike park in Norway 3 years in a row. Your also close to alot of great resorts as: Hemsedal, Trysil, Oppdal, Geilo you name it. And the nightlife is great aswell, bars, clubs, private parties etc etc. Thanks for the info too, very helpful. Oct 7 PM. Go to Lillehammer! I ski at Hafjell, and the mountain is great! The park is always well shaped, and gets bigger and better every year. It has Norway's best downhill terrain, and the second best dirt bike park in Scandinavia. All times are Eastern
