One of my friend who is a girl, she is 21 years old and her brother is 18. They share the same bed together at night even though they have got their separate rooms. She told me she even cuddle together in bed. Then one day my friend said that her brothers girlfriend got to know they sleep in the same bed, and his girlfriend got jealous and think it's very weird.
Do you guys think it is normal and is it appropriate?
Yea of course it is. I cuddle with my manfriends all the time. We are completely straight and our wangs don't touch, so it helps form our friendship even more. In their case they are bonding together more. Nothing to worry about. (not srs). That is freaking weird. wtf...
At that age, it's VERY strange. Do the parents consider it normal? Also, in a way there's something weird about the GF too if she's jealous...not exactly the most typical sentiment to have about the situation.
It's strange but hey, maybe it's like cuddling with a little niece/nephew to them. I mean as long as nothing sexual goes on (boy that would be a hell of a difficult time to explain to family!) then there's no harm, probably.
Maybe in their culture is okay? It reminds me of this story where the girl kisses her brother sexually on the lip and post a pic of it. YUCK!
This reminds me of an episode of Friends where Rachel dates a guy who acts inappropriate with his sister even though he claims otherwise. To answer your question, it is not normal and most definitely inappropriate.

It would kind of depend on culture and circumstances. I know some cultures, entire families will sleep together on the floor or a shared bed (parents, grandparents and children young and old) when living quarters are small. But in the USA, this would generally be considered very bizarre, even unhealthy.

are their relationship really tight? Like, always share and spend time together?ask them if they have been co-sleeping/share same bed since they were little. if yes, i guess it's nothing to worry about, they just have brother-sister complex. It's only worrisome if the sister wants to sleep in the same bed with the bro if the gf is around, and vise versa.
I know it's none of my business, I find odd that they have their own beds but they like to share beds. She told me she had been sharing beds with her brother when they were young, so maybe she got used to it. I don't know why but i'm concerned about her, feels like it's not normal to me.
Maybe she didn't get much love from her parents, and her brother has been filling the empty feeling.
I'm worried about her. I didn't want to offend her then when she told me, so I said oh it's normal because you and your brother are so close. Now I just think it is so wrong.
She is my friend, how do I advise her without being noisy, She should learn to sleep by herself
you should consult that with the brother then.
Maybe she have a deep dark secret that she's not telling you.

hnmmm, I used to be that close to my sister, who's also 3 years older than I am. hmmmm.... I could sleep in the same bed as she is, but not cuddle fufuufufuf *shiver... I'd poke or pinch her a few times or tickle her to annoy her like little siblings do, but no cuddling unless one of us is crying and the other is trying to comfort the other. I slept in the same bed as my sister when I was in elementary and middle school, probably from 9-around 11 or 12 years old. That was when I was really attached, and also scared of ghosts and stuff so I needed my sister to help me go to sleep at night. We had separate beds, but I made her sleep with me.
Yeah, that's a tad bit weird, but hey, my brother wears my clothes sometimes so who am I to judge.
I have shared a bed with my bro once when I was about 18 when we had to because people were in my bed, but he had a king size bed and we stuck one of those big sausage cushions in between us as a wall XD I wouldn't cuddle him or anything though :/ Even when we hug it's like an awkward man pat on the back kinda hug...Cuddling in bed is a bit far O_O
