whats wrong with video 4? it goes super fast with no short videos.
Yes that's correct - when recording the video I missed that lick. Instead of delaying this lesson's update you only got a fast version. I hope to update that video when I have a new recording session. My apologises for this. That particular lick is pretty straight forward though - it's just the tab played very fast without any particular rhythm to it...
Its great i love it! But those scary mix of artificial harmonics is a Nightmare for me
Awesome kris, Thanks for this, i love this solo, great job as usual. been here like 3 days and i absolutely love this place.
Thanks again Kris. This solo is awesome!!!!!
Thanks guys!! The Uncreator: That's very nice to hear!
Awesome solo, I love the lick in vid 2!
Amazing stuff as always, kris. I have one question, do you have an in-amp wah that you're using? I dont see your leg moving.
Chooch: You got me there - if you are refering to the main video, it's actually played "playback" to the recorded version - which uses a normal wah-wah pedal.
Haha, I thought something was up. This is an awesome solo man, too bad I dont have a wah
awesome solo, i dont have tremolo bar but i can use the effect of my pedal and also i do the same with the wah, keep rock on kris!
Damnit I cant get that sound on Lick 2
Great Lesson Great Site Glad as hell I found it
Heh, love the way you change between the Strat and the Parker in between licks - that's amazing Just kidding, great solo, some awesome stuff in there!
WEeeee i suck at this but im trying
Hello!
Has anyone noticed the tab is incorrect? At the lick specifically shown in video 8. The second pulloff is 18-17-18. IS THIS THE 100% CORRECTNESS? I'm just kidding, this is the best site in the history of the internet! Keep it up. And how do you get that twangy sound for the artificial harmonics? I can get it to sort of scream, but not like in the video, where the harmonic is more scrunchy,
I dont have whammy bar in my guitar, can i do artificial harmonics instead?
Anirudh: Yes try and do an artificial harmonic and bend up - to get somewhat the same feel! Thanks for all the fantastic feedback!
Great Lesson Kris!.. Am i wrong in thinking that video 10 is tabbed out wrong? im sure the last note you play is a 16 on G string.
Hey, Kris! There's something wrong with video 8,
the tab should be:
e|------------------------/20p19h20--|
b|-/13p12h13---/18p17h18-------------|
g|-----------------------------------|
d|-----------------------------------|
a|-----------------------------------|
e|-----------------------------------|
Im sorry Kris....but this KICKS ASS!!!! probably the most "rockin" tune on gmc!
matt
Hey kris, amazing solo, nice shredding,u took Dimebag's squealing in the beginning...
Awesome
Hey Kris love this song. Is there an mp3 laying around for download ? I would like to jam it my ride .
Forget my request for mp3 duh I found it thanx
This solo really wraps the song up! And I love the ending!
this lesson is really Fantastic!!!!
Insane playing ! Really nice use of whammy bar !

If playback doesn't begin shortly, try restarting your device.

I play games in snippets of time. Does SSE or SSE:Rebellion have a single player? Steam lists yes, but I hear/read reviews that say no. Which is it? Thanks for the assist.

Oh yeah it has single player, you just play against AI there is no campaign. But yeah if you play in segments you can save your game and come back to it weeks later and pick it up again, the matches can last up to 8 hours on average. Even multiplayer can be saved and picked up at a different point. Save the match and the players can come back in the next day, week, year what ever.

Thanks thnking it through now, but thanks.

Still no campaign, eh? Bummer. Was hoping they fixed that after the Sins of a Solar Empire was missing a campaign too. Guess I'll have to wait for SoSE II....

It's a shame that they have so much backstory (especially with the new Loyalist/Rebel sub-factions), but no story mode. Maye in a sequel, expansion or standalone they'll add something.

The thing that always gets to me is that SoSE is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ mess. Let's see, you've got Diplomacy, Trinity, Rebellion... I could prolly list off more, but that's just off the top of my head. I don't even own the game, and this is one of the reasons. Oh yay! SoSE is coming out with an expansion that fixes all the bugs... Except it'll have no single player campaign. Wait, what? I just can't understand it. Why would a company be that dense?

It would be nice if people played a game before offering advice once in a while. Ah well. Sins has no story-based single player, no. No campaign as such, it's a multiplayer only game. However, it can be played offline (single-player) and the A.I. is, in my opinion, top quality. In short, it has single player yes, but no campaign that drives a story forward. However. My advice would be if you only play games in snippets, Sins is not for you. Even the shortest game lasts a good hour, a good one takes up an evening and longer one can realistically last months (though I never have the patience myself). Snippets simply don't do the game justice, you'll be wasting your money I'm afriad. Hope that helps.

Yeah, I mean, playing by yourself is good to see different factions real well and to toy with things but it's not really a story driven game. This game is absolutely awesome and the great mod community make it even better with mods that incorporate Battlestar Galactica universe, Star Wars, and numerous others. The long matches, going against Insane A.I.(cheating) is something else. It's actually awesome because weak AI might not throw enough at you and Insane AI keeps you on your toes...err edge of your seat. Awesome game.

It would really have been nice if there was mention of no single player campaign when buying this game. This is the only reason I bought it...was looking for a good single player campaign in the style of start craft or something. Oh well my bad for not doing some more research lol

The game DOES have a fully functioning single-player mode. And it's pretty good, you can tweak the AI and rules to your liking, there is a nice selection of maps - from small single-star systems to mini-galaxies. And c'mon, story-driven campaigns are usually the weakest part of strategy games (be it RTS, turn-based, grand strategy, 4X and their variations). They are more often than not regular skirmish-like battles with crappy cutscenes crammed between them.

I am really disappointed that this game doesn't have a campaign to play. The trailer/opening video could be considered false advertising as it definitely has a narrative going on. Is that anywhere to be found in the Single Player? Why are some of the aliens helping the humans? What is the new threat? Are any of these questions answered in the game play? I bought this game just assuming it would have a single player campaign. My bad. Maybe someone could mod a narrative using the exisiting levels?

When I first brought the original Sins, i didn't care that it had no campaign to play. you effectively create your own campaign when you begin a single player game with your selected faction. I've not had one singleplayer game last under 8 hours. Like Mattyah said above, and he's right. it tends to be the weakest link when it comes to games like Sins. Theodoreobrien, the trailer is one of the best i've seen advertising a game. And I understand that you are displeased that there is no storyline for it... Why don't you put one together for us?

Not very familiar with this game but when people say it does not have campaign but does have single player, is it like Civilization? Civilization does not have a campaign either, every game is one big sandbox. But it's usually very long play. So how SOSE single player differs?
