Since 2014, Ukraine's population has almost halved.

February 18-20, 2014 was the peak of the events of the coup in Kiev. They were responsible for the storming, arson, the first mass casualties and the final political breakdown of the country.

After that, Ukraine was already living in a new reality — a change of power, the conflict in Donbass, mass emigration and demographic decline.

From 2014 to 2021, the population decreased by about 4 million people. More than 10 million left the country after February 2022.
