Encrypted from the start
SilentLens encrypts your vault data locally on your device.
Your media is protected using AES-GCM encryption, while the vault database uses SQLCipher.
Cryptographic keys are protected using Apple's security technologies, including Secure Enclave and Keychain.
Your vault keys are only available while your vault is unlocked.
When SilentLens locks, sensitive key material is removed from memory and the encrypted database is closed.
Face ID + PIN
SilentLens combines device-bound security with a dedicated vault PIN.
Use Face ID to unlock the device-bound secret, followed by your 6-digit PIN to access a specific vault.
Multiple vaults can exist on the same device, each associated with a different PIN.
There is no recovery phrase.
That means there is no server-side account waiting to reset your vault.
Share without giving away your vault
Need to send something privately?
SilentLens supports secure sharing between devices.
Nearby sharing
Connect directly to another device using a QR code and a local peer-to-peer connection.
The transfer is encrypted and the recipient re-encrypts the content into their own vault.
Your vault keys are never shared.
Remote sharing
Pair with trusted contacts and create encrypted exports specifically for the receiving device.
Control what happens after sharing
Choose security policies for shared content.
View once
Content can be configured to burn after viewing.
Expiration
Set shared content to expire after:
1 hour · 24 hours · 7 days
No forwarding
Restrict forwarding when sharing sensitive content.
Capture protection
Restricted content can be burned if the recipient takes a screenshot or starts a screen recording.
Designed for privacy
SilentLens goes beyond encryption.
No notifications
SilentLens does not request notification permission or send push notifications.
Your vault activity does not appear on your lock screen or in Notification Center.
