Through the shady olive grove, the guest can reach Sikia beach, situated in front of the camping. Sikia offers a sandy beach for both children and adults. There is also a rocky bay for snorkling and swimming. As part of the offered facilities is the family taverna, the seaside bar and a grocer’s shop. Among others there is also a multi-purpose sports field for basketball, mini football and volleyball.

Sika is bringing a new manufacturing plant for concrete admixtures on stream in Stafford, Virginia. With the opening of the plant near Washington D.C., Sika is increasing its production capacity in the important American construction market so that it can readily satisfy the strong demand in the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic regions. With over 75 million inhabitants, the urban centers in the Northeast, like New York, Philadelphia, or Boston, are very densely populated and account for more than 25% of US economic output. The new plant is well positioned to support the additional needs of the announced infrastructure program of CHF 200-250 billion in the aforementioned two regions.

The new structure of the bridge is designed to meet current seismic codes. More than 120 tons of Sikadur®-31 SBA were “smeared” to each side of each precast segment prior to final placement and tensioning. Over 200’000 bags of SikaGrout®-300 PT where supplied to fill the ducts containing the post-tensioned cables.
Concrete admixtures and waterproofing systems were applied for the construction of Visp Tunnel.
The car park serves a new-built office and residential building. Sika supplied the flooring and the floor joint systems for this project.
Since several years Märker trusts the quality of SikaGrind®-870, a cement additive which is based on the Sika® ViscoCrete® technology. The integrated cement plant in Harburg and the grinding station in Lauffen produce all cement types which are relevant in the market. The product portfolio covers the complete application spectrum and Märker is able to provide cement in the market of South Germany.

Das traditionelle Gaggenauer Freibad musste nach einem schweren Unwetter aufgrund von Hochwasserschäden im Frühsommer 2016 geschlossen werden. An seiner Stelle entstand nun ein Naturerlebnisbad, ergänzt um ein technisch betriebenes Bad, das zur Saison 2022 wiedereröffnet wurde. Für die Abdichtung der zwei Naturbecken kam die Kunststoffabdichtungsbahn Sikaplan WP 5130 und Systemzubehör von Sika zum Einsatz.
