Sierra Leone Hosts 69th ECOWAS Summit

The two‑day meeting in Lungi focuses on regional integration and key security challenges.

Key details:

On Saturday, the presidents of Sierra Leone, Gambia, Senegal, and Cape Verde attended the inauguration of the Bintumani International Conference Centre, which will host the proceedings.

ECOWAS comprises 12 West African countries. Mali, Niger, and Burkina Faso withdrew in January 2025.
