Sidera: Wearing Your Cryptocurrencies on your Wrist

Until now though Bitcoin has become a known cryptocurrency it is still far from being something used by everyone. So Sidera came up with a project to make Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies to be more attractive and accessible. Sidera is launching SmartBit, the first Decentralized Wearable Device of the world. Security

The device and its integrated hardware wallet, as a security feature, is assured by a body sensor placed under the smartwatch. A few signals (movement, perspiration etc.) from the user’s body that are unique and distinctive for every person will be analyzed by the sensor which will elaborate a specific ID that will grant access to the hardware wallet.

Therefore, if the device gets stolen, the bearer will not be able to access any funds because the sensor will reject his body.

OTHER Smartbit Features

Proximity wrist-to-wrist sending/receiving

This special and unique in the world wrist-to-wrist sending/receiving feature allows the smartwatch to connect with other SmartBit devices within a specific range through Bluetooth and Wifi. The device will detect any specific other device, if available, so that it can send or receive funds. The device can only pair your smartwatch with devices authorized by the user. In this way nobody will be able to manage the operations if the smartwatch and the phone are unpaired. Through this very important feature users can send or receive cryptocurrencies OFF-CHAIN securely and it doesn’t need a companion app. When there is an internet connection again, the device will then synchronize with the Blockchain. To make it very much secure the user can define the maximum amount of funds that can be spent and the money can only be sent through a PIN confirmation.

Ghost Mode

A special function is added for an ultra-enhanced security and is considered the crown jewel of Smartbit – the “Ghost Mode”. When it is in this mode the user can completely hide the hardware wallet and all crypto-related functions from his smartwatch, everything will appear as a normal smartwatch with only time, weather and other notifications visible, others will not know that the device also stores cryptocurrencies. Only the user has access to the special layer. The crypto-layer is securely locked with military grade encryption in a separate sandbox. So you don’t have to worry about those prying eyes around.
