Both have its pros and cons and I do not think one is better than other. It all depends on the family situation and belief, there is no one way better than other, there is only one that works better for one certain family than the other. In my family, both my husband and I believe in spending our time with the children and we believe that it’s better that one of us get to be there for our children throughout the first few years of their life. I am very lucky that my husband’s salary allow me to stay home. My husband would also want to stay home with the children but I simply cannot earn enough
I’ve found that you don’t really have to choose. If I had to, I would rather stay at home and take care of our kids. I missed too much when I was working full and even part time. But I work from home now. I dedicate only 2 - 6 hours to working every day. And because I can stop when I need to, my babies don’t feel neglected. Even when I pull balloon jobs, my kids are usually welcome to come with. Or they spend some quality time with their grandparents.
I grew up when it was still fairly common for women to work or stay at home. My own mother was a stay at home mom for a few years. But times star
The ideal is for a mother to be able to be at home to raise and nurture her children. No one can love our children the way we do.
It is an unfortunate fact of life, however, that many mothers need to be employed in order to provide for their families.
In my own case, I was at home with my children until my husband left us behind. His idea of adequate child support was grossly inadequate. I had to go to work to see to it that my children had the necessities of life.
In my brother's case, he and his wife chose for her to be employed after he became disabled due to a back injury on the job. He staye
If you have a choice, then the answer is clearly: do what you want to do.
There are pros and cons to either choice, and you need to sit down and think about those.
Sadly, other women will make you feel guilty whatever you choose.
I’ve done both and - there were pros and cons.
In terms of time with children, the only time we were not with them when I worked was one hour after school; an hour they always spent eating hungrily and catching up with a bit of tv, whether we were there or not.
Over family meal at the table, or later in the evening individually was when the children caught us up with talk,
If the mother has a good husband who will not attempt to control her with the finances- then the mother should stay home until the child starts school. It’s SO much better for the child.
With my 1st child, I stayed home. With my other 2, I had my own business so I took them to work with me. I feel it really helped all 3 children to have a parent around all day, instead of going to daycare or to a sitter.
When I was a kid, my mother was a single mom. My siblings and I were always at the baby sitter due to my mom’s work schedule. I HATED IT! All I wanted was to be with my mom. I vowed to never do
Well, that depends on many factors and also on the woman’s choice. Some women are happy to be stay-at-home-moms and they excell at it. Other moms don’t. I always went crazy staying at home. I was a much better mom, when I worked and it was a good thing I did. Because when my youngest was two, my ex-husband walked out and the fact that I had job experience helped me feed my kids.
Then there’s also families, who can’t aford for the mom to stay home and only live on one paycheck.
Anyone who is able bodied should work, it helps them both mentally and physically. It gives you new experiences and you learn how to work with other people who may be different from you. It can be a real gane changer for many people who have lived sheltered lives. It also has the added benefit of being a learning experience such as learning a new skill. You can buy more things and thus pay taxes which is used to pay for prograns that help other people. So, it is a win-win. Some people should work, some people must work, and some just don't want to. There are many women who work and take care o
Right wing lunatic here; maybe, because my wife, who happens to be a mother of 6, is a human being, with agency, maybe, just maybe, she should …..
Do whatever the damn hell she pleases. At present it pleases her to be a Mum. If she wants to go workies, then she most assuredly can. I may have input, but it is her life after all, she gets to make that choice. Truth be told, I doubt I could pay what she is worth as chief mum, household organiser, mobile snot deposition service, chef, taxi driver and psychological welfare/warfare consultant. If someone wants to make her a good offer, I'll just have
I've done both. I've worked, I've stayed at home. Currently I'm a stay at home mom. I believe there is benefits to both working and stay at home parents.
Working parent. Brings home the money puts the money into the house to keep the children and spouse safe.
Stay at home parent. Knows about school stuff, understands what's going on with the kids, house is always clean, gets errands done, someone is always there just in case one of the kids gets sent home from school…
I am pretty sure this question is asked based on the fact that the father can afford to feed the whole family solely on his income.
There is no right or wrong answer for this. The parents of the children will be in good care no matter what.
What does the mother really want? Does the mother want to work or stay at home? Are the kids ready for some type of independence?
You can always choose part time Jobs.
It depends on the financial situation of the family. If one of the parent is earning 100k then, the other parent can take care of homefront. There is no point in paying 1500 per child childcare and if you have 3 children then, it’s better to take care of children. How can you expect outsider to take care snd love your children when it’s your children, ur responsibility.
