Summary: ShotZen does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data. Everything it does happens locally in your browser.

What we collect

Nothing. There is no account, no analytics, no tracking, no telemetry, and no server that receives your data. ShotZen has no backend.

What stays on your device

Your settings (which capture modes are enabled and your preferences) are stored using Chrome's local storage API on your own computer. They never leave your device and are deleted when you remove the extension. Screenshots you take are created on your device and are only ever placed on your clipboard or saved as a file by your explicit action — they are never uploaded anywhere.

Permissions

• activeTab — lets ShotZen read the current tab to take a screenshot, only after you click the icon, use the right-click menu, or press a shortcut.
• scripting — draws the selection overlay and Copy/Save buttons and performs full-page scroll-and-stitch, on the active tab only.
• storage — remembers your settings on your device.
• contextMenus — adds the right-click “ShotZen” menu.

Third parties

None. We share nothing with anyone, because we receive nothing.

Limited Use

Our use of information complies with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Children

ShotZen is not directed at children under 13 and collects no data from anyone.

Material changes will be posted on this page with a new date.
