Short-term position at NYUAD
The cognition and perception group at New York University Abu Dhabi
(NYUAD), and in particular the labs of Daryl Fougnie, Olivia Cheung, and
Kartik Sreenivasan, are seeking an individual or individuals to assist in
programming and conducting online studies, on topics including working
memory, long-term memory, and object recognition. The ideal candidate will
have significant experience with at least one method of online testing
(e.g. programming experiments on Amazon Mechanical Turk using JavaScript
and HTML) and a willingness to learn additional routes as necessary. When
applying, please indicate the programming languages / platforms that the
applicant has experience with.
This short-term position is open to all levels of experience (student,
research assistant, post-doc) and can be done on a part-time or full-time
contractual basis. This means that the schedule, number of hours, and
duration of work are negotiable. The number of hours per week depends on
the candidate?s availability, but we prefer someone that can commit to at
least 20 hours per work, at least initially. The expected term duration is
between two to six months (with flexibility). The payment rate depends on
the level of experience and qualifications. The work is expected to be done
remotely.
