Beard Talk Let's assume for the sake of discussion that the studies are all 100% legit and having facial hair does in fact diminish the efficacy of gas masks and SCBA. I honestly believe it's designed so in case of an emergency they can have a hairstyle separation maneuver and the hair can command it's own ship while Pike escapes.
