Seems brand protection against the little kiddies is becoming harder and harder. It’s a real shame that some people don’t even attempt to do a “good faith” search. Well, I am here to set the record straight!
Firstly, I admit, we are not the first comic on the internet to be called this. However, as a branding issue, it can be a double-edged sword. Secondly, the previous project was abandoned for several years prior to the beginning of ours. If we had similar stories, this would not be a valid case for “Fair Use”. however, the context and meaning is QUITE different. And that’s our THIRD point. In spite of all three projects with similar names being of significantly different stripes in terms of content, story and context, OUR comic has been updating longer, consistently. Additionally, it is of a subject matter that I am CERTAIN young girls of high-school age would not want to be associated with.
That said, I’ve invested too much time and energy into my own version of the brand since 2008, and if they wish to persist, legally, copyright is on their side. You can’t copyright a title or word. But, they do so at their peril because of association. And once they realize what is going on, they may wish to jump “ship” on this endeavor, or simply re-title it.
However, I’m not going to prattle on all day about this. You wanted some smut if you came here, and I aim to please! So sit back, and enjoy our home-away-from-home.
