I was very excited to receive this tree. It has great definition and a symmetric look. I will definitely purchase again from this seller.

Q: Is it possible to grow an Inaba Shidare Japanese Maple inside in a sun room in a container?
A: Japanese Maples are not good used as houseplants, but they will need to be grown outside where they will go dormant and need to have that cold period. At this time we currently do not have a houseplant that would be similar to this Japanese Maple.
Q: Will the Inaba Shidara Japanese Maple grow in clay soil? We live in Tennessee on the plateau of a mountain and the soil is terrible.
A: You could build up the spot where you’re going to plant your new maple by adding 12 to 18 inches of good soil on top of the existing soil and plant into that mound. Then add 3 to 4 inches of wood chips over the top of the area to keep the soil moist cool.
Q: Can i plant an inaba shidare Japanese maple 3 or 4 feet from the house, facing west with partial shade in Tulsa, Oklahoma?
A: Sadly I think that exposure would be the opposite of what it would like. It would prefer a morning sun afternoon shade and a cool moist soil.
Q: What is the largest Inaba Shidare you have in stock that I can purchase? I would like a #5 or #7.
A: The largest we have is a #2 listed on the website. Sorry.
Q: Can I plant this tree in an area that is fully shaded all day?
A: Unfortunately not, you will need to look for a plant that tolerates full shade.

For an incredible experience, try the gorgeous Inaba Shidare (Acer Palmatum var. dissectum 'Inaba Shidare') in your landscape. You'll instantly recognize the deep color and delicate, dissected leaf shape as a Japanese Maple. But this lace leaf maple has delicate-looking leaves on graceful branches .
Don't let the airy disposition of Inaba Shidare fool you, though. This is a strong grower with an upright, straight trunk and downturned, spreading branches that seem to tell a romantic story. It grows beautifully in the ground, or in containers.
Landscapers usually select this special accent Japanese Maple tree for its beautiful, weeping habit . The Inaba Shidare has one of the best presentations of all the Japanese Maples.
With an upright structure and broad cascading limbs, this tree offers truly limitless landscape value. It's absolutely stunning . You'll also be pleased to know that it's a fast grower that will quickly establish itself in your yard.
It explodes in the spring with leaves that are such a deep reddish-purple scarlet they almost appear black . After that, they only get more brilliant through the year and do not bronze in the heat of the later part of the summer.
When fall finally comes, the cold weather makes the leaves a bright fiery red rivaling all other fall color foliage . What a show!
This stunner is an exceptional ornamental tree, both in color and form. Order now for the best selection!
One of the quickest and easiest ways to raise the curb appeal and the value of your home is to add beautiful and interesting new landscaping. This is a perfect tree to place next to a pond, along a dry creek bed or water garden for a designer look. They make a wonderful accent tree for entryways .
Use them as focal points in a Meditation Garden, or placed in a formal, Japanese-style garden. Plant near your patio to gaze upon in wonder.
Inaba Shidare is also the ideal container plant either on the patio or as a container specimen in the landscape.
Inaba Shidare requires good drainage and does best when planted in acid soils rich in organic matter. A pH of 6 - 6.5 is perfect.
Improve your soil when planting with the Dr. Earth Acid Lovers Organic Planting Mix. Mix in 50% planting mix to the total volume of soil replaced when planting. To maintain a lower pH, fertilize with Dr. Earth Acid Lovers Organic and Natural Premium Fertilizer .
When faced with poorly draining soils, plant the Inaba Shidare on a mound at least 18 inches high. This will ensure oxygen gets to the root system. Mulch the mound to keep the root cool and cut down on erosion.
Inaba Shidare does well in part shade to full sun, but needs protection from the afternoon sun in the warmer climates . Mulch to 2 feet outside of the canopy and to 3 to 4 inches deep to keep the root both cool and moist by decreasing evaporation.
The growth rate is outstanding . These 3-year-old trees are shipped strong and healthy. Plant them and keep them well-watered and they will grow fast - 1-2 feet a year for the first few years. The tree will double in size in 5 years!
Inaba Shidare responds well to pruning, and you can keep this easy-care tree any size you like. You'll enjoy the best results if you schedule the pruning task for either winter and summer.
You love the striking color from spring to fall and truly appreciate that stunning form all year round. Order today!

Plant Sentry is designed to protect both consumers and the nursery trade from invasive plant pests and diseases. Sites that display the Plant Sentry protection badge are protected from consumers buying and nurseries shipping material carrying invasive pests and diseases.
This proprietary eCommerce software prevents the shipment of a restricted plant to each state. The Plant Sentry system includes a shipment certification program. The Plant Sentry Compliance Officer works closely with NatureHills.com and each nursery or fulfillment center to ensure only compliant plants are sold to customers.

To obtain a more accurate shipment time-frame, simply enter your zip code in the “Find Your Growing Zone” box to the right. Our plants are grown all over the country and lead time on items may be different because of this. Once your order is placed, you will also receive the specific shipment time-frame information as part of your order confirmation. Once an item ships, you will receive shipment notification and tracking numbers, so you can follow along while your plant travels to your doorstep. We use FedEx, UPS, or USPS at our discretion.

Hi, I'm Eve.

When I started looking into shibari, I couldn’t find a comprehensive, step-by-step, and easy-to-follow course that would teach me the essentials to start exploring the world of rope bondage. Most of the courses out there were very disorganized, difficult to navigate, and felt extremely threatening. After spending over two years learning how to do this the hard way and after buying tens of books, attending several workshops and buying multiple online courses, I decided to organize everything I learned and record it in over 170 lessons of first person step-by-step video tutorials. I also decided to provide my students with lifetime access to the courses and all future updates to ensure you can go at your own pace and always come back to the course for new lessons or to refresh your memory. Basic Knots

Learn the building blocks that will enable you to create complex Shibari ties. These are the must-have basics that will jump-start your rope bondage career.

This knot is the building block for most ties ranging from the easiest to the most complex

Pay attention when tying this knot. It looks simple, but it's easy to end up with a grandma's knot if tied incorrectly.

This knot will tighten under tension and remain loose when not

Impress your friends by tying a one-handed slip-knot in less than 5 seconds!

Keep the ropes in place using friction

Attach the end of the rope to an object, basically used as an anchor.

A beautiful knot. Great for decorative ties
