I posted this on another subreddit and most people said it was "a way of punishment" or "a way to show that she has control over you". I'm sure if I was a girl and it was my dad, they wouldn't react the same.
When I (19M) was 8 (more or less), my mom got angry at me for something, and she dragged me to my room then locked the door. She closed the curtains and made me lay down. The reasons that I think it's sexual:
