My mom is one of those women who looks much younger than she is—lucky lady. People meet her and are shocked to learn her actual age, usually geustimating a good 10 to 15 years younger. I would like to have people feel the same way about me when I’m her age (again, I won’t state what that is, because a lady never tells) so I’ve been paying attention to her routine, looking more closely at her habits, and just asking her what the heck she does to look so good. I’ve accumulated some information from the many women I know over the age of 60 who look like they’re still waiting on their 50 th birthday. And, just for the record, none of these tips involve plastic surgery or fillers. Nor do they involve selling your soul to the devil or eating the hearts of young men. It’s all natural, simple, and even budget-friendly. Here are tips from women who look much younger than their age.

Lots of makeup is often a tell tale sign of someone trying to look a different age than they are. And a lot of makeup can get stuck in crows feet and wrinkles, actually accentuating those. Don’t slather your face in thick foundation to try to cover up lines. Simply going easy on the makeup does this thing to an onlooker’s subconscious that makes them believe, “Well, they aren’t trying to look young, so they must not be that old.”

If you must wear makeup (which I understand many women do) go with super light stuff. There is some makeup designed not to sink into fine lines. And after applying it, grab a sponge and soak up excess in those lines.

People don’t really think about your age when you smile. It’s hard to think that a person who looks so happy could be old. The moment you smile, you look youthful—you let the child inside of you come out. Oh, and frowning leads to frown lines.

One tip has been true across the board for these fabulous older women: they’ve avoided the sun at all costs. It just sucks up your vitality. Always wear a big rim hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses, and ask for the table under the umbrella.

The women I know who have been heavy drinkers unfortunately, look older than they are. Meanwhile, the ladies who look younger weren’t big drinkers throughout their life. My mom has maybe three glasses of wine a week—in total.

First, when you’re stressed, you frown, and get those worry lines on your forehead. But, you also don’t sleep well, and a bad night’s rest leads to puffy eyes. Being stressed out just contributes to looking older in a lot of ways.

Don’t feel like you have to give up on having an enviable wardrobe just because you’re getting older. Nobody looks at, say, Jane Fonda and thinks of her as old—she just looks like she’s loving life because she goes out in outfits that make her feel like a million bucks. The key is opting for higher quality clothes that highlight the right things and cover up the other things.

Limp, thin hair makes anyone look older, while full, voluminous hair makes a woman look youthful and energetic. Brush your hair with your head upside down, and invest in shampoo and product that promotes growth.

Bright-eyed and bushy-tailed is the saying because when our eyes are open and happy, we look young! So, apply some powder or foundation under your eyes that is a bit lighter than that on the rest of your face. It opens up your eyes.
As we get older, our eyebrows begin to thin out. But a good brow mascara can add both depth and color to those brows, and help re-frame your face and make your eyes pop.
A woman in bold lipstick is always the most intriguing woman in the room. Something about bright red or pink lipstick just says, “I love life!” So avoid dull, natural tones and spice things up with lipsticks that pop.

Unfortunately, as we age, our lips begin to thin out. So, invest in a good quality liner and line your lips. You can also get a plumping lipgloss. A full mouth always looks youthful.

Yellowing teeth is a sign of age. But, they don’t have to be. Hopefully you’ve kept up with cleanings enough to have natural pearly whites, but if you haven’t, you can look into some natural, safe whitening strips. You can also do a whitening session in your dentist’s chair.

If you have to wear glasses to see, switch to contacts. Seeing eyeglasses, for whatever reason, make anyone who wears them look older. Even your friend who is only 20 looks 40 in her glasses.

A middle age woman cannot be without a good mirror. Get one that amplifies and zooms in, so you can get a good look at your makeup while you do it. You don’t want to be caught in broad daylight with the nasty surprise that you have powder drying and cracking around your crows feet.

Never ever in my life thought I would do anything like this but here we go throwaway account...maybe this will help...
Anyway, go back a couple years to the summer of 2009 I was at a long time friends house and we were hanging out and he went to sleep and I wasn't tired so I wandered out of the room. He has a younger brother and sister and they both had friends over, all of whom I already had known for a while. I just decided to hang out with all of them and watch tv or whatever.
So we're watching TV and then we all go back into his brothers room and just chill or talk or whatever...eventually everyone starts getting tired and they all fall asleep...well im laying on the ground and one of his sisters friends is really close to me..well for some reason I thought it was a great idea to hit on her..(I'm 18 and she is 13, she doesn't look 13 AT ALL...otherwise I wouldn't have had any interest) she totally goes for it and apparently her and her friends think I'm hot. Of course this goes to my head instantly and I talk her into kissing me and stuff...we don't really go past kissing but it was pretty nice and there was groping involved.
Fast forward a year to the summer of 2010, I hadn't seen or talked to her or anything and had acquired a girlfriend. She is over at my friends house and I kinda try to make eye contact with her and she seems to be avoiding me..I confronted her later alone and asked her what was up and she said she was just shy around me...I asked her for her phone number (KEEP IN MIND I KNOW THIS WAS ALL WRONG :((..) So I am texting her a bunch that night and later she sneaks out and we made out and laid together and stuff (she is very mature and smart for her age and I had much better conversations with her than I ever did with my girlfriend for our whole two year relationship) soooo I totally cheated on my girlfriend AND it was with a 14 year old girl..while I am 19....I don't even...
Anyway...that happens and then we try to hang out as much as possible that summer...she lied to her parents and went to an abandoned house I had access to and we would just hang out all day and she was just really cool. We made out and I got to take off her shirt and shit which is so much slower than I have ever gone..but it didn't even matter because I just enjoyed her company...ALSO...it was kind of illegal -.-...
This goes on and idk what I was thinking but I kind of jokingly asked her to be my second girlfriend and she said yes..and so I was like okay...and this goes on and we talk all the time..we didnt even see eachother after that for a long time but eventually we "broke up" because she was weird about it since I had a girlfriend..(definitely weird)
As a sidenote...I additionally cheated on my girlfriend with three other girls during this time...I have no idea what was wrong with me..well I was very suicidal and was honestly just not giving a fuck anymore about what I did so maybe that had something to do with it. Regardless it isn't an excuse. Also I have broken up with my girlfriend and she has no idea about the cheating so...yeah..
Anyway...I still talk to this girl and we still get along great..and she always says how she misses me..but we don't see eachother because we know its wrong and stuff...
The funniest part is that she is actually extremely developed for her age and one of the hottest girls in her school and all of MY friends who are MY age and even some older adults have made some comments about how they wished she was 18 so they could fuck her..and holy shit shes so fucking hot and shit like that...and I just never say anything and think to myself "she is pretty hot...yep I messed around with her..i've touched all of her hot body etc etc etc." But its definitely not something I can brag about nor would I lmao. but yeah its just kind of funny to me >.>...
I just worry myself because I haven't cut off contact...I don't want to...I really still like her but its fucking dangerous as shit to talk to her...fortunately she is extremely secretive and smart about everything...erases our messages and texts immediately and stuff like that.
I am very worried that someday down the road she is going to have a post or something similar in life where she talks about how she messed around with an older guy and it fucked her up or...idk...shit. I just feel so weird about this -.-...

You sound extremely immature and seem like a pretty big douche. Not because you fool around with underage girls but because you cheat on individuals that you're supposed to be in a monogamous relationship with. I would also reconsider being involved with this 14 year old - although you both seem like you're at the same maturity level it is illegal (in the US at least) and very likely that you can get in trouble and be forced to become a registered sex offender.
Eh I'm definitely not going to argue with you because I fucked up pretty bad. In my defense (sorta) I had already wanted to break up my girlfriend but hadn't been able to go through with it because she would guilt trip the shit out of me and threaten to kill herself if I left her and shit like that...so I didn't want to be in the relationship at all anymore..but I was scared of what she might do :/. I didn't cheat on her before that...but when she did that it ruined the relationship entirely.

Well as I replied in another comment...I didn't want to be with my girlfriend anymore but she threatened to kill herself if she broke up with me so....yeah....:/ I don't mean that it makes it OKAY...but I mean...i would have been single at the time if it weren't for being scared of that happening.
No...I can honestly say it has nothing to do with her being underage...to be honest she didn't look underage at ALL...and I actually didn't know she was until I started talking to her and stuff..I just figured she was a family friend and hung out with a bit younger girls because her mom dumped her off there. It really has nothing to do with the age...I don't find underage girls particularly attractive or anything...she is matured more than 18+ years old physically and mentally IMO...I really just honestly get along with her very well and we just work well together...even though we disagree on shit she is totally down to discuss things and is totally open to other opinions...which is extremely mature IMO and something I haven't found with any girls even my age :/....

If you feel really sexually attracted to her whenever you're around her like you can't control yourself then it might be nice to just see her when you're with your friend or something and wait til she's old enough.
