No jokes here. After 3 weeks, I thought it was time to put up a review of my male DS. Going to keep it as objective as possible and leave out the editorialized bedroom fun. That's for another place and time. Not to mention, I don't want Hunter doing a review of me. Let's start with a timeline. 2/3/17: Questions emailed, answered fully within an hour. 2/4/17: Placed order, sent deposit. 2/5/17: Confirmation of deposit, production begins. 2/27/17: Completed, photo set provided by DS. Final payment sent. 2/28/17: Shipped out. 3/6/17: First possible delivery day, changed to 3/10 so I could be sure to be home. 3/10/17: Delivered around 6:30pm! From the time I placed my order to the time he arrived was 35 days. I had read that DS was very prompt, but still I was stunned by how quickly and smoothly everything went. There wasn't time for much communication during the production phase, and I had the little timeline in my account to let me know how things were going. The photo set, which can be seen here: http://www.ourdollcommunity.com/gallery/thumbnails.php?album=1779 , was very thorough, and perfectly representative of how Hunter looked when he arrived. These were the options I selected: Body: Male 170cm Head: Herman Skin: Tan Eyes: Brown Tight joints Finger bones Fingernails No pubic hair Flaccid & erect penis attachments Total cost: $3,881 (shipping, customs, everything) "Tan" skin was not an option in the drop-down list; I had originally chosen "Yellow". In the confirmation email, I was asked whether I wanted to stick with "Yellow" or choose the new "Tan" skin as shown in "Herman's" photos. There were 4 wig options presented, all of them for female dolls. But I knew this and had asked the day before whether I could choose the same wig type that "Herman" had in his photo set, and that was confirmed. I would imagine that if someone ordering had a different wig type preference, that DS would be willing to accommodate this. All of my interactions with DS were polite, prompt, and informative, which more than made up for the slight confusion on the options page. There were fewer customization options than are offered for RD or Sin males, but this is reasonable with the significantly lower price tag. It would be nice to have finishing options, freckling, and more realistic eyes for those little touches that add life and character. But in some ways, I feel that if those things are that important, you might just choose to go elsewhere to begin with. He does have a painted 5 o'clock shadow, which I wasn't sure I would like, but seeing it in person, I actually like it a lot! It is one of those things that adds some realism, and I don't think my pictures of him do it justice. I would also think that if you didn't want him to be scruffy, you could ask that it be left off. I feel that getting a great level of realism for about half the price was well worth forgoing those options, and I would make the same choice again. One area where more options would definitely be appreciated is below the belt. For me personally, I am completely happy with his "situation", but I know not everyone would agree. He comes with a flaccid penis and an erect penis, which I measured to be 5.75" from the base of the penis to the tip, and a girth just shy of 2". The flaccid penis looks uncircumcised, with the foreskin (not movable) halfway pulled back. The erect one looks to be circumcised, but is probably meant to be uncircumcised with the foreskin retracted. I wasn't sure how the DS insert system would work with the penis attachments and whether they would stay in place well when he is being moved for photos or for action. They do! DS has a video demonstrating how to put in the inserts, and it is just as helpful with a male doll. The erect one stays in place a little better because the insert itself has a metal skeleton that helps anchor it. The flaccid one is just that, flaccid, so it sometimes wiggles its way loose if we're moving from couch to chair, chair to bed, etc. He arrived with a "place holder" type insert, with the boneless inner part, and the visible part looking completely smooth. He also came with a free vagina insert. Sex is excellent; indistinguishable from the real thing (except of course I have to do all the work ). I love the skeleton in his erect penis; I can position it in exactly the best way. I can't give a very useful review about his capacity for receiving anal sex, beyond saying it can be done! He does not have capacity for oral, but his open mouth is just right for kissing. Miscellaneous stuff. I managed to get on a scale while holding him on my hip to see that he weighs 89 lbs. He is heavy, but not impossibly so. DS offers a female EX-LITE foam doll, and if they offered a male, I would get one for Hunter immediately. That would be great for full body photo shoots, and dressing him in more challenging clothing, like a suit. He is just under 5'6" tall. Silicone smell is minimal. A light spritz of cologne and it's gone. His joints are very tight, which is great for posing, and makes doggy style possible. I'm glad I went with tight joints, but I don't think I'll mind as they loosen up little by little. Loose joints have their place too. RDs and to a lesser extent, Sins, have a kind of bow-legged stance. DS males do not. I exercise caution when changing inserts or posing to avoid tearing, which has been successful so far. He arrived in their carton/cardboard box, currently the only type they offer. The box and all the contents arrived in great condition, despite the long distance. All in all, I am thrilled with my choice, and would do it again with greater confidence! I can't say enough good things about DS. The honeymoon continues! If I left out anything, just ask!

I just love the line " I am thrilled with my choice, and would do it again " - I think it's the nicest compliment possible for a synthetic person Two little remarks - Doll Sweet can make the Herman head also without beard stubble, in case someone prefers a clean shaven look.
