No classic I remembered for my childhood. Still really funny. And I've always loved Jackie Chan's unique fighting sequences. Movies like this around the world in 80 Days and many others where he uses his environment to fight is just beautifully choreographed.

I like 16:9 and 5.1 surroundsound. Those parameters usually lead to my watching the whole movie and I did. I did do some hearty laughing. I like the action and violence. I like the punching and kicking and in this movie there was quite alot and I enjoyed. I like the shooting. I don't write bad reviews because the recommendations are good and I read the description and the parameters like action.

This movie is absolutely hilarious and amazing. If you haven't seen Shanghai Noon, I highly recommend watching that as well. I promise, you're in for laughs every minute!

I'm not sure what people are expecting out of this movie... giving it 2 or 3 stars. It's by no means a masterpiece, but it is simply a great movie for entertainment. Jackie shows some nice moves, Owen has his "wow" moments, and Little Finger is still kind of young here. Awesome movie if you're not expecting a masterpiece with a great story.

Hollywood always had to put Jackie Chan in buddy movies because they were afraid that American audiences couldn’t understand him with his accent. Shanghai Knights was one of these as Chan hooked up with Owen Wilson in a historical action comedy. The story focuses upon two lords, one Chinese played by Donnie Ye and one British played by Aiden Gillen plotting to seize power which Chan and Wilson have to stop. As with Chan’s other U.S. films there are familiar roles. Wilson is the fast talking America. Chan is the action man. What Shanghai Knights did better than Chan’s previous movies was allow him to do his elaborate choreographed fight scenes like he did in Hong Kong. In one scene they play Singing In The Rain in the background because that’s what Chan’s style was really like a dance routine. That also provides the main draw of the film along with some comedic moments play by both Chan and Wilson. C
