Shady Creek Outdoor School and Conference Center is a 132 acre property located in the Sierra Nevada Foothills just outside of Nevada City in California’s Gold Country. An hour and a half northeast of Sacramento, the facility is an ideal location for retreats, reunions, weddings, and education programs.
As a full service conference center, excellent meals catered to your group’s specific needs are carefully prepared by Chef Lorenzo and his staff. The facilities are environmentally friendly and include architecture designs which complement the natural surroundings. Clients are responsible for providing their own bedding, pillows, towels, and toiletries during their stay at Shady Creek.
The property is secluded in its own private valley surrounding guests with a pristine pine and oak forest as well as Shady Creek– a year-round stream that meanders through the property providing a tranquil setting.
The facilities accommodate up to 250 guests and can be rented for the exclusive use of your group. In addition to dining facilities and sleeping accommodations, the property boasts four large meeting rooms (in addition to the main lodge), a large amphitheater, swimming pool, low ropes course, basketball and volleyball courts, lawn areas, and hiking trails.

Welcome to our family-owned and operated farm in beautiful, Allegan, Michigan. We work to serve soil, animals, and people by using regenerative practices (which basically means letting nature work the way it was made to). Our animals are outdoors and on pasture, our livestock eat grass and a supplemental diet of seasonal vegetables, and our land receives no chemical treatment. We offer nutrient-dense, all-natural, non-GMO, hormone and antibiotic-free meat that was raised to sustain the land it grew on. Thank you for joining us!

Save money by participating in our Annual Meat Subscription Program! Subscribers that live within 40 miles of the farm receive free delivery for all orders of $50+ for one year.
If you place an order of $200+ you are automatically given an annual meat subscription. Otherwise, you may purchase a meat subscription for $60 per year.
We will work with you and your schedule to find a time that is convenient for you to pickup or receive a delivered order.
If you have a meat subscription and live within 40 miles of the farm, you qualify for free hand delivery! Otherwise, we hand deliver for the following small fees:
