Hulu is an obvious go-to for catching up on weekly shows and successively streaming amazing original series like Ramy and The Dropout. But what about sexy movies on Hulu? Yep, it’s easy to overlook the thousands of films the streaming platform offers in just about every genre—including plenty of sexy films for when you’re in the mood to watch something that’ll raise your core temperature.
There’s an overwhelming number of sexy movies on Hulu, actually, and we all know the feeling of scrolling through countless titles until your mind goes blank and you give up and put Brooklyn Nine-Nine on for the 800th time. Who needs that kind of sexual frustration when you just want to lose yourself in an evening of steamy scenes? Below, we’ve found a wealth of hot movies that are well worth checking out, no matter what you’re looking for. (You can also browse our list of sexy movies on Netflix for even more entertainment options.)
Some of the selections below offer explicit moments; others leave plenty up to the imagination. Are you a sucker for romantic comedies? Don’t miss the fresh and feel-good Plus One. If thrillers are more your thing, consider Sliver or Deep Water —sizzling movies with sex scenes heightened by suspenseful stakes. Our list even includes documentaries that examine sexuality through a fresh lens, like This One’s for the Ladies. Perhaps best of all, Hulu is home to lower-profile features that audiences might otherwise miss, including a host of LGTBQ+-focused offerings such as AWOL and Portrait of a Lady on Fire.
So get ready to fire up the TV (or your laptop) and settle in for a titillating evening at home—alone, or with a partner. Ahead, you’ll find 30 super sexy movies you can enjoy on Hulu right now.

Ben Affleck and Ana de Armas’ paparazzi-documented relationship began while filming this Hulu original, which could also be titled How (Not) to Have an Open Marriage. Married New Orleans couple Vic (Affleck) and Melinda (de Armas) have a never-fully-explained arrangement in which Melinda sleeps with a string of younger men, including Euphoria ’s Jacob Elordi. But Melinda takes equal pleasure in drunkenly flaunting her dalliances, upsetting Vic, their circle of hard-partying friends, and the couple’s young daughter. Things take a turn for the murderous, and while director Adrian Lyne has made better erotic thrillers ( Unfaithful, Fatal Attraction ), its mix of titillating scenes and what-just-happened?! moments make it a fun ride.

Disobedience is a slow burn—the “action” doesn’t get going until 45 minutes in—but burn it does. When Ronit (Rachel Weisz) returns to the English Orthodox community she was shunned from after getting caught with her first love Esti (Rachel McAdams), they rekindle their forbidden affair. Neither the fact that Ronit’s staying with Esti and her husband Dovid ( Alessandro Nivola ) nor the community’s fierce homophobia can dampen their desire for each other, which blooms in an electric sequence between Weisz and McAdams.

Connie (Diane Lane), a sexually-restless suburban mom, falls into an affair with Paul (Olivier Martinez), a handsome French book dealer who lives in the city. Their escapades leave Connie equally thrilled and guilty, but trouble brews when her mild-mannered husband Edward (Richard Gere) investigates his growing suspicions. Lane’s performance earned her a 2003 Academy Award nomination, and it anchors the film—but it’s the scorching hot sex scenes you’ll think about long after it’s over.

Fans of Magic Mike XXL will likely love Gene Graham’s 2018 documentary, which takes viewers into the world of Black, mostly-male stripper-crew the New Jersey Nasty Boyz. The doc’s sexiest moments are when you’re fully immersed in the female fans’ joyful mass horniness: Rarely settling on one subject’s life for long, the film mixes random scenes from the strippers’ off-duty lives with footage of the women who delight in their chiseled, undulating, sweaty bodies.

Abigail (Katherine Waterston) and Dyer (Casey Affleck) are living their grimmest lives in 19th-century rural New York, preserving apples to pass the time while grieving the loss of their daughter. When Tallie (Vanessa Kirby) moves into a nearby farm with her husband Finney (Christopher Abbott), the two women begin a simmering secret romance that Abigail chronicles in her journal. The World to Come does include some sensual moments between Kirby and Waterston’s characters, but this one is especially for those who find longing supremely sexy.

“I don’t really know what I like” is one of the first things that main character Frankie ( Harris Dickinson ) says in Beach Rats —to a shirtless male stranger on a video chat site—and much of the action in this Coney Island–set movie involves his sexual journey to uncover the answer. Filmed on grainy 16-mm with lots of close-up shots of body parts, the cinematography has a documentary-like feel that lends authenticity to Frankie’s encounters with men and women.

Set on the French coast of Brittany in the 18th century, Céline Sciamma’s visually stunning movie tells the love story of an artist and her subject. Marianne (Noémie Merlant) is hired to paint a wedding portrait of Héloïse (Adèle Haenel), an aristocrat who’s dodging the assignment because she dreads her arranged marriage. Soon, both Héloïse and Marianne learn how incredible it feels when someone truly sees you, and the passion between them grows. Portrait of a Lady on Fire also features the most erotic shot of an armpit you may ever see in a major motion picture (just trust us).

All three entries in the Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy are available with a Hulu Live TV subscription, but the final installment, in which Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) start planning a future full of whips and chains together, is, in our opinion, the sexiest. The stories based on EL James’s books aren’t for everybody: Johnson expertly eats up the cringiest lines of dialogue, and critics have notes on its depiction of BDSM. But as Christian would tell you, there’s no shame in what turns you on .

Margaret ( Alexandra Daddario ) spends her days teaching English in Japan and her nights having boozy, kinky one-night stands. When she meets a hot yakuza gangster named Kazu (Takehiro Hira), they start having lots of sex in Tokyo’s love hotels as they get to know each other—but their tender affair has a built-in expiration date.

Unforgettable has the delightfully trashy vibe of a Lifetime thriller, elevated by top-tier talent like stars Rosario Dawson and Katherine Heigl. Dawson plays Julia, a woman starting a new life in California with her boyfriend David (Geoff Stults). Meanwhile, his ex-wife Tessa (Heigl) is nowhere near as friendly as she seems. Scenes of party sex and self-pleasure abound amid Tessa’s plot to sabotage Julia’s life.

Mark ( Ben Rosenfield ) and Mary (Hayley Law) are adorkable newlyweds who, at Mary’s suggestion, decide to give consensual non-monogamy a try. It’s a comedy, so there’s plenty of awkward misfires as they find their way (and to be fair, sex can be pretty funny). But it’s a rare story of two people trying to communicate their way through an open marriage without shame, and could even spark a conversation if you’d like to broach it with your own partner.

Former Nickelodeon star Victoria Justice, Emily in Paris ’s Lucien Laviscount, and Shadowhunters alums Katherine McNamara and Matthew Daddario star in a story of infidelity that feels very Freeform. Trust can’t quite decide what it wants to be, tonally—a low-stakes drama? A comedy costarring comic Ronny Chieng? Neither?—but if you feel like watching a bunch of wildly attractive people entangle themselves in a love quadrangle, this fits the bill.

Seeking a way out of her dead-end Pennsylvania town, Joey (Lola Kirke) intends to join the military. Rayna (Breeda Wool) is the free-spirited older married woman who throws a wrench into Joey’s plans, until Joey considers…[ glances at title ]. Unlike many other lesbian love stories on Hulu, AWOL is a modern tale, eschewing subtle innuendo and repression in favor of frequent boning. You also get to hear Kirke’s lovely singing voice, as a treat.

The Escort is best described as Pretty Woman meets the “ambitious reporter falls in love with their story subject” trope. When Mitch (Michael Donegar) meets sex worker Natalie (Lyndsy Fonseca) at a bar, he decides her sordid life would make for a splashy magazine story. For some reason, Natalie agrees to participate, and the two quickly get drawn into each other’s lives. Despite Natalie’s line of work, we actually see Mitch getting down and dirty much more often in the movie, as he’s described as a sex addict who just can’t stay off the apps.

Naz (Kerwin Johnson Jr.) and Maalik (Curtiss Cook Jr.) are two closeted gay Muslim friends living in Brooklyn. The movie follows them over the course of a summer day, as they ride the subways and scheme to sell lotto tickets and prayer cards on the street. They also find ways to hook up with each other in secret—and they’re also trailed by a white FBI agent who projects her terrorism suspicions onto them, as has happened to too many American Muslim people in real life. Naz & Maalik channels the meandering feel of a ’90s indie movie, flowing from one disconnected scene to the next, but it’s the kind of American love story we don’t see onscreen often enough.

Let’s be honest: A Perfect Ending is basically soft-core porn—with the low production values to match—but viewers are here for the steamy lesbian hookup scenes first and foremost. A terminally-ill married woman (Barbara Niven) with three kids realizes she wants to experience an orgasm for the very first time while she’s still alive, and her friends convince her that a woman’s touch is what’s been missing from the equation. Enter Paris (Jessica Clark), a sex worker who knows how to get the job done.

Guillermo Del Toro’s Oscar-winning movie will make you rethink what a sexy leading man can look like. The Shape of Water follows Elisa (Sally Hawkins), who works in a high-security government laboratory. She leads a fairly isolated life until she befriends one of the lab’s biggest secrets—an amphibian man (Doug Jones). The pair become close friends and eventually more. The sci-fi film is full of beautiful imagery, lots of sexual tension, and a pretty intense bath-time sex scene.

Meet Me in Montenegro is based on the real-life romance of filmmaker Alex Holdridge and dancer Linnea Saasen. The two meet in Berlin, have a fling , and decide to travel together. The relationship is cut short when Saasen leaves Holdridge, who continues to think about her even when he returns to the United States. Years later, the pair meet by chance (again in Europe) and resume their affair, despite living in different countries. In a subplot, Holdridge’s friend attempts to inject excitement into his own relationship by exploring sex parties with his partner. Between the two storylines, we think you’ll enjoy the mix of sexy and heartfelt moments.

Every year, main character Liz (Patricia Velasquez) celebrates her birthday at a beach resort with some friends. This year, Liz is privately reckoning with her cancer diagnosis, which she keeps from her friends. At the resort, she meets Eva (Eloisa Maturen), who is dealing with her own grief after losing her child. At first, Liz pursues Eva because of a bet she makes with friends. But the two form a deeper connection, and their relationship becomes about much more than sex. Still, you can expect plenty of sexy scenes.

There’s plenty of sexual tension between Common and Queen Latifah in this romantic comedy. Queen Latifah plays Leslie Wright, a physical therapist, who helps basketball player Scott McKnight (Common), rehabilitate following an injury. Leslie’s best friend just happens to start dating Scott, but that doesn’t stop the physical therapist from falling in love with her basketball star patient. We won’t spoil the ending of this film, which follows the “will they or won’t they” plotline, but we will say it’s definitely worth watching just for the chemistry.

Jack Quaid and Maya Erskine play Ben and Alice, two college friends who get really tired of going to weddings alone. They decide to be one another’s wedding date for an entire year and predictably grow closer during the process. The two start dating fairly early in the movie but soon have relationship problems. Can they make it through the whole year or will they end up going solo once again?

Literary fans will find a lot to enjoy in this film depicting Virginia Woolf’s love affair with socialite Vita Sackville West. Set in the 1920s, both writers are married but embark on a relationship that was considered taboo at the time. If you’re a fan of Woolf’s writing, this biopic offers a rare glimpse into the author’s private life and contains plenty of romance, passion, and literary references .

As the name implies, this movie is filled with lots of dancing, which can be pretty steamy at times. Aspiring dancer Sara (Julia Stiles), who dreams of becoming a professional ballerina, connects with hip-hop dancer Derek. After Sara joins Derek’s world of hip-hop dancing, lots of closeness ensues. One particularly notable scene involves some grinding while the two practice a routine to Pink’s song, “You Make Me Sick.” Lots of people rightfully ridicule certain aspects of this movie (looking at you, Juilliard application dance sequence!), but it’s worth watching for the nostalgic view of high-school love.

Kate Winslet plays paleontologist Mary Anning, who lived with her mother and sold fossils in their shop during the 1800s. In the film, Mary meets a fellow paleontologist (played by James McArdle), who asks her to care for his sick wife, Charlotte (Saoirse Ronan). Initially, Mary and Charlotte clash, but eventually the two become close friends, and then lovers. Although there is no evidence the real Anning ever had a similar relationship, that likely won’t stop you from enjoying this fictional one.
