So had my cervix checked today and I'm still closed and thick. My doctor suggested intercourse might help it progress. But my husband and I haven't had sex for months and months now!!!
I have so much pressure down there- how the hell can I have sex?!
So not only is there pressure but I'm out of practice too! Lol!
Is anyone having sex at 39 weeks?? Or did anyone have it? Was it painful? Uncomfortable?
I am 40 weeks tomorrow trying to jump start things with sex ....I am 4 cm dilated 80% effaced and it did not hurt ....I have had a lot of pressure as well ...just make sure not to skip foreplay!
I am. Well 38.6. Coconut oil for the win!
Use lots of good wAter based lubricant. It'll help. I was in the same situation. All my life I underestimated the lubricant but it does magic :)
Coconut oil as lube? Thanks for the tip!!!
Ok..."don't forget foreplay" (making notes) lol
I'm 39 weeks tomorrow so I'm actually also 38.6 weeks too :) Due July 31st!
Yep it's a great natural oil:) just heat it in microwave for a minute:) works great to prevent stretch marks too!
Yes I've been using it on my body for years and for my pregnant belly too! Didn't know you could use it as lube! Awesome.
Me too! Just had a sweep today! Will be putting hubby to work soon! Been in early labour since July 9, gotta work eventually! If you have a pregnancy pillow curl it up like a donut and put your tummy in it. We call it the "Dunkin donut"..lol

I'm just curious as to what positions work for you ladies out there. The last time we tried it felt like he was "hitting" something inside of me and it freaked us out. The doctor said it could have been our angle - but I've read that the spoon position is one of the most comfortable for pregnant ladies and it was fine until last week! Any ideas/suggestions? Thanks!

I'm not 39 weeks, but I heard doggie works. Or you laying on your back on the edge of the bed and him standing up. But I guess it depends on how big you are and what's comfortable for you.
We did spooning until a couple weeks ago. My ass is officially too big for that position. Lol.
Have you tried cowgirl or whatever it would be called if you are on top? That is the easiest for us right now...I'm not all that graceful at the moment, but once in place it seems to be the easiest and most enjoyable of all the other positions. GL
This, its been WEEKS because my hubby is scared
We typically spoon and that seemed to work well. My hubby told me a couple weeks ago that he was scared and that it was too weird for him. Then I guess he gave in last week because we ended up having sex. We did it doggie. It worked fine. It didnt hurt and it wasnt uncomfortable. Im 38 wks. Good luck.
Im not 39 weeks.. but I prefer doggie right now. It is the most comfortable!

I'm gonna AW for a min... I got some last night!!!!! But it's been like two months so, not really bragging. What worked for us was backwards cowgirl, spooning and doggie. He decided to "take one for the team" to get her out!!! LOL!!!
ditto to spooning and the edge of the bed one.
When I was pg last time we had sex up until the day before I went into labor. the position we used, its odd to describe but it works. You lay in the bed head near the top of the bed, face up--but kinda facing away from him, and he is kinda perpendicular to you. like a T shape. Your legs all get intertwined. You can still face each other a little, its completely like spooning, its kinda like he is entering from below and not behind, but he is not on top.
