Officials from the University of Zimbabwe (UZ) are fuming over a leaked se_x tape which is circulating on social media, which was allegedly recorded by students from the institution.
This publication has learnt that the video was allegedly shot by first-year students at the UZ and the female is reported to be in the faculty of engineering. Sources at the university who spoke to local tabloid, H-Metro, were adamant that the graphic video was filmed at the country’s oldest university.
One of the sources said, “We have the names and the boy is Reign and the girl is Faith. Ma 1:2 (they are first-year students in their second semester) and they shot the video on Saturday in their hostels.”
Another source who spoke to the tabloid said that the frisky couple had shot the video during the Colour Splash event which was held at the institution over the weekend.
“These guys took advantage and vakaita zvinhu zvavo, and the tape has gone viral since Saturday. They had se_x on the bunk beds”
However, authorities from the UZ who spoke out against the creation of se_x tapes said that there was ambiguity on whether the infamous bedroom tape was recorded at the UZ.
UZ Dean of Student Munyaradzi Madambi said, “Unfortunately, the video is not clear enough for us to identify the parties involved. We also cannot confirm with certainty that this happened at UZ because the video doesn’t show any features within the room.
“As an institution, we do not condone reckless behaviour. Porn0graphy is illegal and strictly prohibited. Our young people ought to value their bodies and uphold our morals as a people.
“Apart from running the risk of contracting nefarious se_xually transmitted diseases, shooting each other in se_xual acts is a sign of barbarism of the highest order. As an institution, we want these future leaders to be honourable men and women of dignity and integrity.”
