Essex College may not be a real school, but it was filmed on real college campuses.

The Sex Lives of College Girls is officially back for its highly anticipated second season and we already can't get enough. We're reunited with our favorite suitemates, Bela, Whitney, Kimberly, and Leighton, as they take on their next semester at Essex College, a prestigious school in Vermont. While Kimberly lost her scholarship after cheating on her economics exam in the season one finale, Bela is starting a new all-female comedy magazine, Leighton is exploring her sexuality, and Whitney is figuring out who she is outside of soccer season.
Essex College is known for its killer themed parties and top-notch extracurriculars, but it doesn't even exist IRL (bummer, we know). Ahead, find everything we know about The Sex Lives of College Girls' filming locations and what college campuses we actually see on the show.
The prestigious college we see in The Sex Lives of College Girls isn't a real school, so if you were hoping to file an application, we send our sincerest apologies. On the show, Essex College is a prestigious school in Vermont but in real life, it's actually filmed in several universities across the U.S.
Per IMDb , The Sex Lives of College Girls ' first season was filmed at Vassar College in Poughkeepsie, New York, and Warner Brothers Studio in Burbank, California, in June 2021. The Poughkeepsie Journal reports that the show featured "exterior shots on and around campus extensively through its first season."
Showrunner Mindy Kaling even gave the publication a shoutout on Twitter , writing "We loved shooting in beautiful ⁦Poughkeepsie! The town and people in it are the best. Our cast and crew loved every minute of our stay there."
For season two, however, the show was filmed across the University of California in Los Angeles and the University of Washington from June to August 2022. According to a report by the University of Washington , filming took place on their Seattle campus, "primarily in the Quad." The university also revealed that around 100 students were hired as extras and that the crew was made up of local artists, vendors, and freelancers.

The Sex Party review – spiky comedy fails to satisfy

Menier Chocolate Factory, London There’s tension in Terry Johnson’s tale of four couples meeting for sex and nibbles but the unruly debate isn’t deep enough
A t first, The Sex Party looks like a retro BBC sitcom about swingers, although that term is banned at this adult shindig. Four couples collect for sex and nibbles at a cool north London postcode. There is gleeful talk about getting it on and a fair share of parading around in lingerie and thigh boots.
But Terry Johnson’s spiky comedy takes us from the familiar fare of smut and sniggering double entendres to something bolder and more awkward in the sex/gender debate at its centre, even if it does not reach a satisfying end.
We only ever see what happens in the high-end kitchen (set designed by Tim Shortall) but we get a vivid idea of the action in the living room from the moans and groans we hear. In a production also directed by Johnson, the acting stays fine across the board although the characters are flimsy (Lisa Dwan especially does wonders with her part) and the star casting of Timothy Hutton stays strangely marginal for too long. He drifts on and off stage, saying little and looking like a cliched California guru in yoga pants.
The dialogue often goes off on random, unruly riffs; one character (Will Barton) talks about taking MDMA and the dialogue sounds under the influence too.
The play’s grenade is lobbed as the first act closes, with the entry of Lucy (Pooya Mohseni), a trans woman, and from here on in it feels like another play altogether. Doris Lessing, in a Penguin introduction to Lady Chatterley’s Lover, wrote that what happens in the bedroom is a “report on the sex war” outside it and it seems to be the case with this living room; suddenly, no one wants to convene there and a very live tension is in the air.
Much is flung at us, from talk of toilets to language and JK Rowling and it feels genuinely edgy. It is brave of Johnson to grapple with a debate that has become so divisive that a meeting of this kind would be unimaginable in real life. But arguments come thick and fast without being explored. Johnson seems to be shooting an arrow through the issues of the day – including, too briefly, consent – but it comes to feel like a dramatised version of Twitter.
The room exposes its bigots and we finally see the point of Hutton’s character but as more plot-points are lobbed at us in the closing moments it feels much less like a sitcom than an entire series rolled into one production.

“Winter House” star Kory Keefer says fans keep asking about his “11 inches” after a steamy sex scene with castmate Jessica Stocker on the Bravo reality show.
“There’s a lot of [message] requests,” Keefer, 32, tells Page Six exclusively of his increase in Instagram DMs.
“I haven’t looked at all of them yet … but it’s definitely getting a little bit more busy on there.”
As the hunky gym owner explains, many of his new followers are interested in his male anatomy after Stocker claimed in last week’s episode that it was “so big” at a whopping “11 inches.”
“A lot of ’11-inch’ comments,” he admits with a laugh. “I’m hearing that, which is kind of funny. So yeah, the DMs are going a little wild right now.”
Once Stocker, 25, lost her spark with Luke Gulbranson — who is currently dating “Real Housewives of Potomac” star Ashley Darby — the blond beauty set her sights on Keefer, who played a strategic game of hard-to-get.
“I don’t want to be rejected, obviously, so I almost push it to the edge where they’re wanting it so bad she would have, like, a mental breakdown if I didn’t make a move tonight,” Keefer said on the show of his teasing tactics.
“I think it all come together in, like, a perfect explosion … in her pants.”
Cameras captured the pair getting busy — and Stocker later raved over Keefer’s bedroom skills during a candid conversation with fellow “Winter House” newbie Rachel Clark.
“Me and Kory had some fun. It was amazing. Like, actually mind-blowing,” she said, further divulging details on the size of Keefer’s penis. “It’s like 11 inches. So big. It’s definitely almost, like, three hands.”
A shocked Clark, 31, then asked, “Did he rearrange your organs?”
Her face full of delight, Stocker replied, “He made me squirt everywhere.”
Keefer, who is still in contact with Stocker months after production for Season 2 wrapped, tells Page Six that he is grateful for her glowing review.
“I mean, I owe her some money for that! She’s really a team player,” he says. “She could have said the opposite and made me not look good at all. It’s funny because I didn’t know she said any of that. Like, we didn’t talk about it.”
Keefer elaborates, “I guess it kind of boosts the ego when you hear that. She might be embellishing a little bit. I don’t want to say it’s that crazy, but …”
The fitness pro — who entered the Bravoverse by way of his longtime bestie, “Southern Charm” OG Craig Conover — gave his family a heads-up about his romp with Stocker as they are avidly watching the series.
“I told my mom to skip over a couple scenes,” he says, also revealing that his father was “low-key proud” of him. “And my dad was like, ‘I’m going to watch the whole thing. Of course I’m going to watch.’ And he did, and he texted me afterwards and was kind of joking about it.”
Though he enjoyed the physical aspect of his winter fling with Stocker, Keefer notes that he also appreciated the real estate agent and metaverse entrepreneur’s “nerdy” side.
“I think the one thing that at first made me more interested was that she was talking about crypto. I’m low-key into crypto as well,” he says.
“I was like, ‘All right, maybe there’s a little bit more to you than being a hot blonde.’ So that initially sparked an interest, and then I mean, of course, she has a rockin’ bod and she’s just a cool girl, too. She’s funny and I can joke with her.”
“Winter House” airs Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on Bravo.
