The resort is beautiful, recently renovated with all the updates. The staff are all very friendly and do a great job providing great service. Chris at the swim up bar is amazing remembering your name and what you are drinking. Sex in the pool! Disgusted with the people having sex in the pool and staff not kicking them out. Very tacky and trashy. The security staff suck, rude lazy. Instead of stopping this they would watch as if it was the poolside entertainment. There is a place for that, go to Hedo. Allowing that brings them to a zero on the scale, only giving a one because I can give a zero rating. Security needs to do their job! More

During our stay, most of the time only one restaurant was opened so little variety in food selection. The night cap needs improvement as the preparation for hot dogs were slow due to the machine & at times the hot dog rolls were tough.

Riu Montego Bay is a beautiful resort. Well maintained property. Staff was super friendly. Wendell and Shawna-Leigh at the pool bar made our pool time a lot of fun , full of energy and lots of laughs. Jamari went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed and so nice to us when eating at the buffet. Jerky chicken is always a must! Our room was very nice. 6 pools with hardly anyone using them. Beach well kept. They’re locals that hang out in the water on paddleboards that try to sell you shells, necklace, bracelets, wood carvings and other fun stuff but once you talk to them or buy something they leave you alone. Actually fun to talk to and hear their stories.... they are harmless and we even gave them like $5 if we didn’t want anything. Not many people on the beach , but as the Rastafarians will tell you : the Caribbean waters are medicine. Which I believe! As for Covid protocol, mask required at bar when ordering and when entering busy areas such and dining areas and lobby. Hand sanitizer everywhere. And temp checks before entering buffet area. Runs very smooth. Weather was amazing everyday! Didn’t see much of the nightly entertainment, as I was in bed early from the sun , drinks and food I enjoyed each day. Covid test that the resort supplies was a nice set up as well. Just have your passport available when signing up for it and on the day you get the test. We didn’t know this and had to run back to our room, which was across the resort. The airport was very serious about hand sanitizer, from the time you get off the plane and about 3 more times before you exit the airport. They have guards that make sure you use it and some guards actually have a spray bottle. Much respect for them wanting to keep their island safe and healthy. We will visit this resort again, sooner then later I hope. They say “ their door is always open” . If you visit Riu Montego Bay I hope you enjoy it as much as we did. Our flight from Chicago had only 30 people and our return flight as well. It was nice to have our own row but sad that people are afraid to travel. Caribbean needs vistors! Over 1/2 of the resort was unoccupied, We tipped often and it was much appreciated! Go to Jamaica and enjoy!!!!!! ☀️

I had a great vacation here. The resort was really clean! The staff was so friendly and welcoming throughout my entire stay. The covid process was great, down from scheduling testing to enforcing the covid policies on the resort. There were plenty of Sanitizing stations. I thought the food was pretty good. I loved then pool and beach areas. I think that was my favorite part of the trip. Even my room was really nice and loved how clean my room was when I came back from a day out. Overall this was a great experience, and I will be recommending staying at this resort!
