I've been a great fan of the Naked in School stories since I read the first one by Karen Wagner in 2001. In fact, I was the first to borrow her characters and write another story in the same universe. My web site contains a large selection of these stories, which you can find by googling sevispac's stories.
So how do I feel about making the fantasy real? This is a GREAT poll. It asks all the right questions. For me, the Program may advertise itself as promoting a healthy lifestyle, but it's really about encouraging sexual activity among adolescents.
I'm all for it! Shedding childhood inhibitions and enjoying as much sex as nature has made you ready for is the greatest joy in life. Holding kids back is a waste of time and life, they should be encouraged never to miss a minute of what their bodies have to offer.
Now, the Program does have a slight element of coercion, but only to make them do what they secretly want. The old cliche, "It's for your own good," has never been truer. As long as the dangerous elements of VD and pregnancy are removed, as by "The Shot," promiscuity should be actively promoted as soon as a child reaches puberty.
So that means starting in Middle School, with perhaps some encouragement and example in the lower grades. If done right, the coercive element will never be exercised; its very existence will provide all the excuse the kids need.
