The GE PGE29BYTFS Smart Refrigerator includes all the features you would expect from a refrigerator in this price range. This includes Wi-Fi as well as app support and GE's SmartHQ Software. The app is available on iOS and Android devices and lets you control your refrigerator from anywhere around the world. It also has numerous options for customizing. It will also send you notifications when the door is unlocked, when the freezer or fridge requires defrosting, and when the filter has to be changed.
It would be nice if GE PYE22PYNFS offered Precise fill, an option available in a handful of GE refrigerators that allow users to choose how many cups they want to pour out. The fridge displays a countdown timer to display how much water remains however it's not as useful as Precise fill.

The top shelf on the right can be folded down to make space for taller items. There's also a full-width drawer for deli and an inside water dispenser.
This refrigerator has a freezer with an ice maker making it easy to transfer the frozen ice as needed. The freezer also comes with innovative design features like sliding drawers that can help you organize your belongings. It also comes with a large bin that can hold plenty of frozen food items as well as an ice storage bin.
Smart InstaView panel is a cool feature of the refrigerator. It allows you to manage the refrigerator's temperature and lighting from your smartphone. It's a good way to monitor and manage your refrigerator, particularly if you're away from home.
The Smart InstaView feature is neat, but it doesn't necessarily improve the performance of the fridge. In fact it took longer to defrost and chill foods in this refrigerator as compared to other fridges we tried. This is likely due to its greater capacity.
The other issue we have with this refrigerator is its doors. They have sunken handles at the front, which allows smaller people to open them from the bottom, however they're not easy for taller people to steer closed without slamming the doors. It would have been much better if they came with a front-mounted handles.

It's also a little cheaper than the best counter-depth refrigerator that has an ice maker, which can make it a popular choice.
Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
This Frigidaire French door refrigerator is a good choice if you want a French-door fridge that doesn't break the budget. It's a simple fridge which may not be as eye-catching as its rivals, but it still has enough features to make it a good choice. The Frigidaire FGHB2866PF's exterior is made of stainless steel with a grey-bodied body with a "smudge-proof" finish. It wards off streaks and fingerprints better than other stainless steel finishes I've tested.
