SessionVault ("we", "our", or "the extension") is a tab and session manager extension for Google Chrome. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our extension handles user data.

1. Data Collection and Storage

SessionVault does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data, browsing history, or user information. All data handled by the extension, including saved tab URLs, page titles, tab groups, and user settings, is stored strictly locally on your device using the browser's built-in IndexedDB and chrome.storage APIs.

2. Permissions Usage

The extension requests the following permissions solely for its core functionality:

- tabs: Used locally to read open tab URLs, titles, and favicons when you save a session, and to reopen them when you restore a session.

- tabGroups: Used locally to preserve and restore Chrome tab group names, colors, and organization.

- storage: Used to save your sessions, preferences (theme and language), and automatic 30-day snapshot history locally on your device.

- sidePanel: Used to display the SessionVault management interface in Chrome's native side panel.

- downloads: Used solely when you manually click the Export button to save a local JSON backup file to your computer.

3. Third-Party Services

SessionVault does not use external servers, analytics services, tracking cookies, or advertising networks. No data ever leaves your browser.
