Senior QA Specialist

We are looking for a Senior QA Specialist to support a long-term remote project focused on data testing, data quality and database validation.
The role is strongly focused on working with large datasets, validating data accuracy and consistency, testing ETL processes and data pipelines, and identifying potential data quality issues. Strong hands-on experience with SQL, particularly SQL Server, and database testing is essential.
You will work closely with data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality data delivery across reporting, analytics and downstream systems.
We are looking for an experienced QA professional with a strong analytical mindset who can work independently, investigate data inconsistencies and contribute to improving data testing standards and QA processes.

Description
* Perform data testing, data validation and data quality checks across large datasets.
* Write and execute complex SQL queries using SQL Server.
* Verify data accuracy, completeness and consistency.
* Test ETL processes, data pipelines and database logic.
* Identify data inconsistencies, anomalies and data quality issues.
* Analyse and troubleshoot data-related defects.
* Cooperate with data engineers, analysts and business stakeholders.
* Support defect investigation and resolution.
* Create and maintain test cases and test scenarios.
* Prepare and maintain QA and testing documentation.
* Ensure high-quality data delivery for reporting and analytics.
* Support validation of downstream systems and data outputs.
* Contribute to improving data testing standards and QA processes.
Requirements
* 5+ years of experience in software testing / QA.
* Strong hands-on experience with SQL.
* Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
* Proven experience with database testing.
* Good understanding of common database structures and data models.
* Experience with data validation and data-driven testing.
* Ability to analyse large datasets and identify inconsistencies.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* High attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
* Experience creating test cases and test scenarios.
* Experience cooperating with technical and business teams.
* English: fluent working proficiency.
Nice to Have
* Experience with data analytics or data quality frameworks.
* Experience with BI tools or data visualisation.
* Knowledge of ETL tools or data integration platforms.
* Familiarity with data governance or data quality frameworks.
* Experience working in Agile environments.
