Senior nurse
provides safe, competent patient care; is knowledgeable of current patient care guidelines; communicates with peers, colleagues, providers and others.

Develops plans to facilitate and support associates in their efforts for growth and development

Manages budget and expenses of role’s teams

Publishes research results in referred journals

Inventories and requisitions supplies and equipment

Manage injuries/illnesses in the Temporary Alternate Work (TAW) program

Develops and documents Return to Work plans for employees in TAW

Communicates with employees, medical providers, third party administrators, and operations managers

Compiles / provide reports as needed

Support assigned district in relevant activities related to employees returning to work from personal illness/injury

Current nursing practice and roles and functions of patient care team members

Is able to articulate various delivery systems and patient care models and the advantages/disadvantages of each

Patient care delivery systems and innovations

Evidence-based literature and guideline review

Guidelines by attending national conferences

Evaluate and assess appropriate medical providers for injury care DOT and other necessary employee examinations

Work with Labor, Operations, and Health and Safety management to evaluate and maintain TAW appropriate job assignments

Collaborates with Risk Management to identify process improvement regarding TPA and its vendorsSearch Jobs US

Participates in the Employee Development Program process

Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN-S) or working towards certification (highly desired)

Certification in First Aid, CPR/AED, CAOHC, and ACLS preferred
