What do we expect from you?
- In this role as a Senior Mobile Developer we are looking for individuals 3+ years of experience building re-usable front end components using React Native or Swift/Java for mobile devices.
You will be responsible for the following but not limited to:
- Building the mobile app framework from the ground up.
- Being an amazing team player and not just be responsible for your own deliverables but also coaching and mentoring junior developers. (We all succeed when we make each other better.)
- Working with product/design and US/local business leaders to understand requirements, turn requirements into technical design, present the design to technology team and break down these requirements into tasks and deliverables
- Defining and practicing engineering best practice while leading decisions based on metrics
- Incorporating business needs while defining architecture for the system with a short term and long term vision in mind
- Creating and leading a culture of quality, accountability, autonomy and open communication across the teams
- Delivering on-time your and your team's key deliverables
The fun part of this job is to be able to build the first mobile app from the ground up. If you are up for this challenge here is what we want you to be great at:
- React Native/Swift/Java or similar mobile app development framework
- Xcode and Android Studio
- React.js is your assistant and you use it for building robust, modular, scalable software that is consistent with the rest of our ecosystem
- Building beautiful sleek charts and graphs for visualizing financial data to the end user on a smaller screen
- GraphQL using Node.js and its implementation and understanding its benefits
- Building secure apps by integrating with backend RESTful services using JWT token or through an API Gateway
- Understand the benefit of using CDN for delivering static assets as well as images
- Developing and implementing responsive designs into your apps.
- Building and deploying apps to the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store
- Firebase push notifications
- Using Codepush to keep apps up to date
- Instrumenting the app for product and technical insight
- Keeping Error Rates low and ensuring we have High Uptime for all of our systems.
- Familiarity and excellences at Application Monitoring tools like New Relic/Data Dog
- Producing apps that have low to zero reduced crash rate
Bonus Points:
- If you have experience building React for Web as well as reactive native and can show how you have build native apps using Reactive Native, you will catch our attention right away.
