Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and talented Machine Learning / NLP Engineer to join our dynamic backend team. This role will focus on developing innovative machine learning and natural language processing solutions to drive the next generation of our clinical research platform, Neuroute.

Responsibilities:

- Work closely with data scientists, engineers, and product managers to identify opportunities for leveraging company data to drive business solutions.

- Develop and implement machine learning models, including data collection strategies, data transformation, model training, validation, and implementation.

- Enhance NLP capabilities to understand, interpret, and structure clinical research data and trial protocols.

- Optimize solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability.

- Collaborate with frontend developers to implement ML/NLP features into user-facing products.

- Stay updated with the latest advancements in machine learning and NLP, and be proactive in suggesting new techniques and technologies that could benefit the platform.

- Maintain clear documentation and versioning of algorithms, models, and code.

- Be part of code reviews, contribute to team discussions, and assist in decision-making to drive project objectives.

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.

- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in machine learning and natural language processing.

- Strong expertise in Python and experience with ML/NLP libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, spaCy, or NLTK.

- Proven experience in deploying machine learning models into production environments.

- Excellent understanding of machine learning algorithms, data structures, and performance optimization techniques.

- Experience with cloud-based machine learning solutions such as AWS SageMaker, GCP ML, or Azure ML is a plus.

- Familiarity with RESTful API integration.

- Strong problem-solving skills and excellent communication abilities.

- English B2 or better

Nice to Haves:

Publications or contributions to open-source projects in the fields of machine learning or natural language processing.

Familiarity with clinical research or healthcare data.
