YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
• You develop state of the art search applications for all of the markets and
languages
• You use machine learning and recommendation engines to enable
easier content discovery
• You develop and maintain high traffic services and APIs running on
global cloud platform
• You work closely with product managers, designers, and business
experts to deliver best possible customer experiences
• You practice clean code, CD/CI, TDD, and scrum
• You take ownership of your code and do code reviews, debugging and
diagnosis
Requirements
• Experience in developing search applications (e.g. Lucene, Solr)
• Excellent skills in working with Java Frameworks and SQL databases
• You hold a degree in Computer Sciences or comparable fields
• Solid foundation in data structures, design patterns and Restful APIs
• Interested in working in (Google) cloud and microservices architecture
• You have knowledge of and co-developed scalable & high traffic
applications
• You are a critical thinker and problem-solver with good communication
skills
• Your English level is intermediate or above meaning you can
communicate your ideas well at work.
