About the role
We're looking for a Senior Fullstack Java Developer to join an international engineering team building a modern HR, Workforce Management & Fintech SaaS platform used by businesses across the United States.
You'll play a key role in designing scalable backend services with Java and Spring Boot, while also contributing to modern React applications used by thousands of users every day.
This is a true full-stack position: approximately 70% backend / 30% frontend, working closely with Product Managers, Designers, QA Engineers, DevOps, and fellow developers throughout the entire software development lifecycle.
We're also investing heavily in AI-assisted software engineering, so you'll have the opportunity to work with tools like GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, and similar technologies to improve productivity and software quality.

✅ 5+ years of professional software development experience
✅ Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
✅ Solid commercial experience building applications with React
✅ Strong knowledge of JavaScript and/or TypeScript
✅ Experience designing and developing REST APIs
✅ Experience working with SQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server)
✅ Experience with AWS or other cloud platforms
✅ Experience working in Agile environments
✅ Experience collaborating with distributed or remote teams
✅ Hands-on experience using AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Cursor, etc.)
What you'll do
Build scalable full-stack applications
* Design and develop backend services using Java, Spring, and Spring Boot
* Build modern web applications with React and TypeScript
* Design and maintain REST APIs powering web and mobile applications
* Write clean, reusable, and maintainable code
* Improve performance, scalability, reliability, and security
Collaborate across the product lifecycle
* Work closely with Product, Design, QA, DevOps, and Engineering teams
* Participate in sprint planning, estimations, code reviews, and retrospectives
* Contribute to architecture discussions and technical decisions
* Support testing and production deployments
Drive engineering excellence
* Write high-quality, well-tested code
* Review pull requests and provide technical feedback
* Troubleshoot complex technical challenges
* Contribute to documentation and continuous improvement initiatives
* Leverage AI tools to enhance development, testing, and documentation workflows
Nice to have
* Experience building enterprise SaaS products
* Experience in HR tech, workforce management, payroll, scheduling, or fintech
* Experience with microservices architectures
* Experience with Docker and containerized applications
* Experience with CI/CD pipelines
* Experience with automated testing frameworks
