About the company and the project:
A European company developing embedded systems for products in healthcare, science, robotics, and high-tech is looking for a Senior FPGA/Firmware Designer.
They have been on the market for more than 25 years, during which time it has been joined by more than 150 experts.
As a Firmware Engineer you will be part of a team of experts in Hardware, FPGA and Embedded Software engineering responsible for the development of high-quality systems.
The company's projects are diverse and often include image/video processing, algorithm implementation (deep learning), multi-threading, microcontroller programming, real-time development, BSP (board support package) development, ROS and/or wireless communication.
You are offered relocation and a hybrid work schedule. The company's branch office is located in Best, Netherlands.
Your tasks on the position:
- Design, implement, and verify subsystems, modules, and components
- Creating complex HDL designs and working with large FPGAs such as the Zynq Ultrascale+ and Virtex Ultrascale+
- Define how data and algorithms are processed and displayed on FPGA hardware
- Creating modules and subcomponents using VHDL and HLS
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in complex FPGA design and VHDL development on Xilinx and/or Altera FPGAs
- Experience with Vivado and HLS and modeling tools such as ModelSim or Questa
- Experience in testing and integration of embedded software
- Experience with firmware/firmware development in C and/or C++
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in electronics, electrical engineering, embedded systems, or computer science
- English C1+
Will be an advantage:
- Dutch language skills
- Knowledge of Python, Rust and Matlab
