Project Description

We’re a high-performing, AWS-based, agile SaaS web application team that builds web and mobile applications for the commercial service contractors.

Responsibilities

Responsible for uptime, performance, security, and stability of applications
Support Engineering teams database needs for project initiatives
Troubleshooting of issues with minimal supervision with the need to learn new technologies on a regular basis.
Participate in after-hours on-call support
Collaboration with other teams such as Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support and external partners such as AWS

Requirements

3+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA/DBE
Experience designing and implementing Disaster Recovery Plans for Databases
Experience with Aurora DB is a plus
Preferred: Experience with CI/CD Pipelines. GitHub Actions is preferred
Preferred: Experience with Infrastructure as Code: CloudFormation or Terraform
Preferred: Experience with Postgres / AWS Redshift
Preferred: Experience with NoSQL - DocumentDB (MongoDB) and DynamoDB
Preferred: Experience with Amazon EKS
Preferred: Experience with Linux system administration
Experience working in an Agile framework
Effective communication in English is a must have
