Senior Data Scientist at Aarki

Yerevan, Armenia

Salary: $4,000-6,000 net

Responsibilities:

• Research, design, and implement algorithms and pipelines for solving optimisation and machine learning problems

• Understand data domain and translate business requirements into code

• Analyse system performance relative to various key metrics and establish a framework for fast iterative development

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or equivalent

• Strong working knowledge of math and computer science fundamentals

• Proven track record in one of the following machine learning domains: recommender systems, unbalanced classification problems, Bayesian inference, factorization models, neural networks, deep learning

• Strong working knowledge of machine learning, data modeling and visualization in Python, R, or other languages

• Experience with databases and SQL

• Experience with deploying machine learning models to production systems

• Good understanding of probability and statistics, numerical optimisation algorithms, convergence, stochastic optimisation methods

Would be a plus:

• Experience with computational advertising problems

• Experience with parallel computing and "big data" frameworks (e.g. Spark)

• Experience with data warehousing systems and MPP databases

• Familiarity with network and system administration of high throughput/high load environments
