🚀 Key goals and responsibilities
* Build the foundation: Create a cloud-based platform for our reporting suite and internal data systems.
* Pipeline development: Develop robust, incremental ELT pipelines using Python and PySpark.
* Optimize Delta Lakehouse: Continually improve efficiency, throughput, and data quality.
* Data governance: Take ownership of data lineage, catalogue, and governance.
* Drive best practices: Enforce testing, CI/CD, development environments, code reviews, and comprehensive documentation.
* Mentorship: Cooperate with fellow Data Engineers and provide valuable engineering mentorship.
🎯 What will help you succeed?
* Databricks & Data Processing: Strong working knowledge of Databricks and hands-on experience processing tabular data (PySpark, Pandas, Polars).
* Experience: 3+ years of commercial experience with Python and SQL.
* Cloud Proficiency: Hands-on work in a cloud environment and proficiency in deploying production-grade applications.
* DevOps Skills: Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, and Bash.
* Communication: Very good communication skills to work seamlessly with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Languages: Fluency in Polish (C1+) and a strong command of English (B2+).

* Previous background in a Data Engineering or Software Engineering role.
* Experience working with or managing databases and data warehouses.
* Commercial experience with Spark.
* Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
