About the Client
Our client is a global leader in the automotive industry, building modern enterprise data platforms to support analytics, connected systems, and digital transformation initiatives across international markets. You will join a global Data Platform team responsible for designing scalable ingestion and integration architectures on Microsoft Azure.
What you will do
• Design and govern data ingestion and integration architectures using Azure services and modern cloud patterns
• Define standards, frameworks, and best practices for ingestion, replication, and medallion-layer architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold)
• Lead or support PoCs related to data ingestion, replication, streaming, and integration technologies
• Collaborate with architects, data engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions
• Ensure alignment with enterprise security standards, governance policies, and Azure best practices
• Contribute to roadmap planning and continuous improvement of ingestion and replication capabilities
• Mentor team members and act as the technical reference point for ingestion and integration topics
• Support observability, SLA definition, monitoring, and optimization of ingestion pipelines
What we are looking for
• Strong experience in Data Architecture, Data Integration, or Data Engineering within enterprise environments
• Deep hands-on expertise with Microsoft Azure Data Platform, especially:
* Azure Data Factory
* Azure Databricks
* Azure Event Hub
* Azure Storage
* Azure Functions
* Strong understanding of ETL/ELT, streaming, event-driven architectures, and Medallion architecture
* Experience with ingestion and transformation technologies such as Python, Spark, Scala, and SQL
* Knowledge of Azure security concepts including Managed Identities, OAuth 2.0, Azure AD, and Key Vault
* Experience with messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka, Confluent, IBM MQ, or Azure Event Hub
* Familiarity with data modeling and transformation tools such as dbt
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in distributed, international environments
Nice to have
• Experience acting as a technical lead or lead engineer
• Exposure to enterprise-scale analytics or DW/BI platforms
• Experience defining ingestion SLAs, monitoring, and observability strategies
• Experience working with external vendors and global delivery teams
