Senior C++ Video Engineer

We are looking for an experienced C++ developer for our Video platform team to join our growing and fast-paced company in Limassol (Cyprus) office.

This team has developed from scratch the proprietary video platform Tango, which includes its content delivery system around the world, where the video stream is fully controlled all the way from the moment of capturing picture and sound from the camera and microphone, respectively, to its reproduction on the side of the viewer. To achieve optimal results both in terms of quality and speed of video delivery, as well as in terms of price-quality ratio, the system works in a mulitcloud environment.

Tasks for the team:

• Identification and elimination of problems on the platform (both on the server side and on the client side)
• Development and improvement of the system both in terms of quality (delay minimization, loss compensation, increase in fps and resolution) and cost.
• Interaction with other teams in terms of providing information for machine learning recommender and moderation systems based on real-time media stream.
• Building the world's #1 video platform

Please note: the position is open for those who are already in Cyprus or ready to relocate to our Cyprus office. Visa and relocation packaged are offered to successful candidates (Company pays all relocation expenses including: tickets, hotel for 2 weeks, all expenses for documents).

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop new low latency video platform - both client and server side
• Maintain existing codebase and gradually rewrite it to new technology stack
• Optimize code to achieve better performance
• The system has to be ready to high load
• Work together with the OPS team to address production issues

Requirements:

• Writing code in a clean and maintainable manner
• Hands on experience with С++ 11/14/17
• Solid understanding of Video streaming via RTMP/RTP/WebRTC/SRT
• Experience with Android MediaCodec, Android NDK, JNI
• Excellent problem finding and solving skills
• Good communication skills
• Works in agile team
• Intermediate English
