Senior Backend Engineer in Yerevan

PicsArt - is a photo/video editing app and a social platform for artists. App has 500+ mln installs and 120 mln monthly active users. Since its launch PicsArt maintained its position as one of the top 50 apps on Google Play, in Jan 2019 it was on the 2nd place in the International iTunes rating of free apps. 

PicsArt is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join strong Machine Learning Team in Yerevan.

Responsibilities:

• Build large-scale batch and real-time data pipelines with data processing frameworks like Spark; 

• Write backend code according to business needs and priorities;

• Work alongside the Backend Team, App Developers, & Product Owners; 

• Help drive optimisation, testing and tooling to improve data quality; 

• Collaborate with other software engineers, ML experts and stakeholders; 

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in a similar business intelligence, data engineering, data analysis or data visualisation role

• Degree in science, computer science, mathematics, or similar quantitative discipline; 

• 2+ years of experience in building scalable RESTful web services;

• Knowledge of Java, OOP concepts, data structures and algorithms and working knowledge of Python, data modeling, data access, and data storage techniques; 

• Experience in working with high volume heterogeneous data, and systems such as Hadoop, HDFS, and Parquete; 

• Familiarity with ML concepts or frameworks such as TensorFlow, pandas; 

Salary: $2000-4000 net
