(Senior) Backend Engineer (Typescript)

Our client is an experienced team of entrepreneurs and operators who have extensive experience in starting, managing, and growing companies to success, having built category-leading products & services for millions of people. Now, they are applying the same ambition to a new space: health. Given that product & tech will be the core of their mutual undertaking, they are looking for experienced Backend Engineers (with significant experience in TypeScript) to join the team, start with them from scratch and create a previously unseen product experience together.
✅Your Mission:
- Use your experience in Backend Development to deliver a best-in-class product experience to eventually millions of consumers & patients
- Together with a highly experienced team of Product Managers, Mobile Frontend Engineers, and other Backend Engineers build a successful mobile product from scratch
- Build reliable and scalable systems with high performance, while being open to new leading-edge technologies and languages
- Evolve our team culture and processes through collaboration, participation in sprint rituals, and mutual mentorship
✅Your qualifications:
- 5+ years Backend development experience including TypeScript
- You know how to handle and scale a cloud tech stack: TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, Mongo/MySQL, AWS (S3, SQS, RDS, etc.), Heroku, Docker, ElasticSearch, ORM, etc.
- You were at least once responsible for a medium/large scale backend application
- You love complex challenges, you know how to evaluate solutions and how to choose the right one based on your experience and clever decision making with the team
