Senior Backend Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, and maintain system infrastructure, services, and communication between them.
• Scale the system’s throughput, and optimize its performance. Work on stability and reliability.
• Implement new functionality, DB models, and APIs. Translate product requirements into technical solutions. We iterate fast and deliver 2-3 new features per week.
• Work with ML model inference and deployments on GPU machines.

Required Skills:

• 5+ years in backend development, proficient in Python, and expertise with the FastAPI framework.
• Confident knowledge of SQL, query optimization, and experience with SQLAlchemy.
• Knowledge of cloud-based services: VMs, storage, message queuing systems, load balancing, CDN, etc.
• Strong problem-solving skills, ability to design and implement complex scenarios, test and troubleshoot them.
• Knowledge of Linux, network technologies, and web servers.

Optional Skills:

• Experience with developing messengers, chatbots, or other chat-related projects.
• Experience with high-load systems.
• Familiarity with analytics and monitoring tools like Sentry, Amplitude, Grafana, Appsflyer, etc.
• Experience with ML deployments, GPUs, and ML inference optimizations would be a great plus.
