Senior Applied LLM Engineer (LLM & Agentic Systems)

My client is a fast-growing AI-powered fintech business transforming accounting through intelligent automation.
They are seeking a Senior LLM Engineer to lead the development of cutting-edge LLM and agentic AI solutions that deliver real business value.
* Design, develop and deploy advanced AI and machine learning solutions powered by Large Language Models (LLMs).
* Help shape and influence the company's data science and AI strategy.
* Build scalable ML models, AI systems and production-ready data pipelines.
* Optimise LLM-based applications for performance, accuracy and cost efficiency.
* Develop agentic AI workflows across multiple tools, platforms and foundation models.
* Partner with business and technical stakeholders to translate requirements into impactful AI solutions.
* Present technical concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience
* 8+ years' experience within Data Science.
* 3+ years' hands-on experience delivering LLM-based solutions.
* Experience leading or contributing to complex AI/ML projects.
* Strong expertise across modern LLMs and machine learning frameworks.
* Proven experience building AI agents and agentic workflows.
* Expertise in prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, fine-tuning and feedback training pipelines.
* Strong programming skills in Python and/or other modern languages.
* Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
* Degree qualified (Master's, PhD or equivalent commercial experience).
Desirable skills
* Spark, Hadoop, Data Lake or Data Warehouse technologies.
* Data architecture and database design expertise.
* Strong data engineering and data management exposure.
* Accounting or bookkeeping domain knowledge would be highly advantageous.
* Experience delivering multiple successful agentic AI projects end-to-end.
