The Role
We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to own day-to-day accounting operations and deliver accurate, timely financial reporting for US-based clients.
This is a hands-on, high-ownership role. You will partner directly with US finance stakeholders, lead general ledger activities, reconciliations, month-end close, and drive process improvements while also reviewing the work of other team members.
What You'll Do
* Own GL, AP, AR, and reconciliations
* Lead month-end and year-end close activities
* Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, prepaids, fixed assets, and account adjustments
* Review balance sheet reconciliations, roll-forwards, and supporting schedules
* Ensure accounting records are complete, accurate, and aligned with US GAAP
* Prepare and review financial reports for US-based stakeholders
* Investigate accounting discrepancies and drive issues to resolution
* Review work prepared by other accounting team members
* Coordinate with US finance teams, auditors, and external partners
* Support audit preparation and respond to information requests
* Improve accounting workflows, internal controls, SOPs, and documentation
* Support ERP implementations, migrations, and process improvement initiatives
What We're Looking For
* 6+ years of hands-on accounting experience
* Strong knowledge of GL accounting, AP, AR, reconciliations, and close management
* Solid understanding of US GAAP
* Experience working with US-based companies, clients, or finance teams
* Strong balance sheet reconciliation and financial reporting experience
* Experience reviewing accounting work and supporting junior team members
* Strong written and verbal English communication skills (C1 level or higher)
* High attention to detail, ownership, and ability to work independently
* Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
* Experience with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms
Preferred Qualifications
* CPA or equivalent accounting certification
* Experience supporting audits and preparing audit schedules
* Exposure to multi-entity accounting
* Experience with ERP implementations or migrations
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
* NIF knowledge is a plus
