#Senegal launches research on critically important minerals
A project to explore the country's mineral resources has been launched in Dakar.:
systematization of the geological potential of Senegal;
integration of mineral resources into the national energy transition strategy;
the development of domestic processing, not just the export of raw materials.
In addition to traditional minerals, Senegal has a poorly developed potential of critical minerals. We are talking about lithium, cobalt, nickel, copper and manganese, which are key elements for the production of batteries, wind turbines and solar panels.
